They are all powerful leaders of their respective areas, and they talk. Bush was, (I have heard) actually on friendly terms with Bin Ladens family. They had mutual interests with regards to money. Everything I have heard says that there is no link between Saddam and 9/11. If you have different information please share it so we can all be very critical of it. But simply saying Saddam is linked to Al-Qaeda isnt good enough, too many people are linked to them, if you are going to start hanging people, start closer to home. And I just have one other comment regarding your flag waving. I know that if my country did something so despicable that I did not agree with at all, I would certainly not be waving my flag until they corrected the wrong they did. Just b/c you are born in a country does not mean that they should have your unconditional love. If this was true, you could not blame the Iraqis for trying to get Americans off their land. A country must prove itself worth of your admiration, dont be proud and blind, be proud because you know they did what was right. |

I've seen the Bush administration say they same thing many times. This is obviously where you got your mis-information. They have not found the link because it does not exist. The Saudi's have ties with Bin Laden and it is possible to document these ties, but if Bush had found any links with Saddam, they would be easily found on any media outlet. Sorry. |

In typical Republican Conservative fashion, Matt has responded to my facts with adolescent name calling and blatent disrespect. Please don't call me left-wing or liberal either, I just consider myself a moral person. I guess that makes me liberal? Anyway, this is an internet post, so I have NO idea who Matt really is, and he could be a prizefighter or he could be puny. Whether or not I could "kick his ass" isn't really an issue. I could tell you that I grew up in a tough neighborhood, have been going to the gym 5 days a week for 7 years, and at 5'10" 200 lbs I'd probably do okay. But then again, no one would believe me, or even care, because again this is an INTERNET POST. For all you know, I could be in Bush's cabinet, doing research, posing as anti-Bush to find out public sentiment. You can all thank the world wide web for allowing you to express yourselves anonymously. |

Matt, the only person I've heard claim that there is a link between Saddam and Al Qaeda is Bush. If you can point me to a website that gives some information that the bi-partisan congressional committee overlooked, I'd be glad to look it over and consider it. I've always thought that Osama Bin Laden seemed to have quite the link to Al Qaeda. Why don't we go after him? |

I can see I hurt Dougs feelings so at least I did one thing right. Then again thats not alot to brag about. The media doesnt show good news in Iraq unless its in page 10 of the Tampa Tribune, because its bad media to show television without killing, suffering and molestation. The last time I opened the paper and it had something positive to say about the war was when Sadamm was captured. I already knew that Aurora is the type of person not to should pride for her country. Getting a Canuk to wave their flag is the same odds as getting them to leave a tip for a waitress. You pricks aren't even gonna vote this election anyway so I dont know why after 8 pages I am still wasting my time on you. Peace |

You see, I live in a place where it seems like everyone's goal is to be bigger and tougher than the next guy, and I'm not one to talk because I do the same. Unfortunately, there is a huge lack of intelligent conversation in NY (especially amongst my age group, mid twenties), and I like a good argument sometimes. I don't know anyone well in these postings, but a person can read a lot of perspectives and learn things here, even from Matt. He's completely entitled to his opinion and as long as we get Bush out of office soon, we will always have the right to free speech. It just gets aggravating when I'm trying to have a discussion and someone wants to know who has bigger biceps or deltoids: Matt or myself? The only good things that can be expressed electronically are intelligence, eloquence, creativity and knowledge. I have no idea where anyone on these postings lives or what they look like, so the chance of fisticuffs is slim to none. And I admit, I was ****ed off about 9/11, and I supported Bush's decision to move into Afghanistan (even though I never did like him as our President). I didn't think Iraq was such a good idea, and now I'm rethinking Afghanistan as well. I certainly would love to rid the world of terrorism, but the more we alienate our country from the rest of the world, bully other countries, and take sides with certain groups, the more the rest of the world will hate us, and resent our power. As the world becomes more anti-American, the power we have as the world's policeman will be undermined. I'm tired of this argument, so before I go onto Bush's stance on abortion, gay marriage, or the economy, I'll try not to look at this post until I'm back at work next Tuesday after a relaxing holiday in the Hamptons. Have a great fourth fellow Americans, no matter what your opinions are. And have a good weekend to everyone else. I gotta get some work done before I become a canned person like ToDD... |
