| Posted By: proudsupporter Posted On: Jul 12, 2004 Views: 782 | kids! ok-not to demean them or those who have them, but kids are wayyy overrated! all my friends who have them are just neo-psychotically obsessed with them. everything they do is of the kids, for the kids, and by the kids! and some of my friends i can hardly recognise anymore because they have lost themselves somewhere amongst the soccer games and school plays and play dates and doctor appointments and etc., etc., etc.!! it's always something. now i am not so selfish that i cannot see someone wanting to have children. i just think that when your whole life revolves around 2 or 3 (or more) miniature adults and all their whims, you have got a problem. also, if kids were truly as great as they are purported to be, why do so many parents act like they won the lottery when they get one single evening alone?! 'nuff said..... |

I feel that if I end up doing it someday it will be out of guilt not really because I want to experience not sleeping in peace again, pleasing a mini-adult's every whim, smelling like vomit, etc. |

My husband felt the same way before we are married. Now depending on the day he sometimes does and sometimes doesn't want any. His parents won't let up on me either, they want grandkids. **** them all. I will get a divorce before I have kids. And my husband is the most loving person ever. Besides, if you don't really want them, what kind of parent are you gonna be? And the earth is overpopulated too. |
