By the way, 140 countries refused to take part of it, so ease up on the French. And about us going to France, you should know that our Canadian neighbors went there first. We sent our troups when the war was practically over. Get your facts straight, or maybe read a bit about your history guys. France is a beautiful country, and the average «Parisien» isn't meaner than the average stressed-out newyorker. Go see the world! |

In regards to the issue of European hygeine: Don't you think that's a tad superficial folks? Why not respect these people who are comforatable in their bodies without judging and degrading them. How many magazines are sold in America with columns about improving body image? For years we have torn each other down because we didn't fit the criteria of a beautiful women or a handsome man but now we are seeing the negative phsychological affects of not accepting others. Why not take a page out of their book and accept ourselves for who we are, shaved or unshaved. Not only that but today we are realizing what a terrible predicament we have created for ourselves by being TOO CLEAN. Today Lysol and Listerine advertise their products as killing "99% of germs". Well what about the other 1%. Those cleaning astringents don't kill that one percent because it's immune to it. And the fact that all the rest of the bacteria thins out the population allowing the resistant bacteria to florish on ample resources that would have been otherwise used up those benign bacteria that was killed off. Today the medical world is struggling to find cures for bacteria that they thought they had killed. Now the resistant bacteria has been given a chance to grow at a faster rate and we have no anti-biotics to deal with it. When you wash your hands with "Antibacterial" soap you are only adding to the problem. So yes, the French shower less, they aren't any less healthy... and science is starting to reveal in the future they may be healthier. As for the negative stigma France has recieved of late for not joining in the "War on Terror" conducted by Bush over the past few years we have to consider the whole situation. America in a time of hysteria (9/11) and radical self defense took whatever the President had to say as fact. We are now seeing that Bush had infact no reason to invade Iraq as we have found no "Weapons of Mass Destruction". This has just recently been confirmed by the president who did not apologize to the Iraqi people or middle-eastern states. He simply stated that there was cause to believe that with the power that Saddam had we can assume he was going to attempt to use it against America, even if we found no evidenceto support this radical claim. He now admits that Intellegence on Iraq Weapons could have been "misleading" or "incomplete". I think America needs to re-examine its position in the world and its unnecesarry hatred towards countries that do not support it's aggressive actions taken against foreign states. |

Most countries and people don't think that we should be over there. I hate to say it, and it makes me sound like a dick, but if they want freedom that bad then they would take over themselves. Or find ways to leave, and don't say that their boarders are to well garded, their not. |
