Just because someone says the Beatles are overrated doesn't mean there's a lack of respect. They're one of my favorite bands, but I can see how people would think they're overrated. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a band that is so popular, that had such an impact on music in the minds of so many people, that wouldn't be hyped to the point of near-annoyance. It's a hazard of the trade. |

Because they have done 'a lot more than me' in terms of commercializing the music industry and promoting boy bands i should respect them? Many people have done more than I have and I do not respect them, i.e Bush, Hitler, Chairman Mao and Stalin to name a few. |

A quick push of the 'next' button whenever Octopus's garden starts fixes it for me. After Let it Be and The White Album and the way those 2 albums sound more like a collection of individual Beatle songs, it refreshing to hear how well they played as a Band on Abbey Road. |
