I just got far enough from home that my radio station presets stop working. I scan through the channels and hit the middle of some song that's kinda groovy. A brief interlude for station announcement and then this awesome pseudo-reggae song starts. It's got a good beat and lots of energy and the musicality is just stunning. "I must get this song!" I think... then 5 more songs play and I figure I'll never know. Then the announcer comes on and says "Starting that set was 'No more weapons' by 'Steel Pulse'" I went and bought the CD immediately and absolutely love it. Now I want more, but I'm afraid of getting some of the slow rock-steady stuff that I'm no fan of. I also don't want to blow cash on that Black Eyed Peas HipHopReggaeWannabe stuff. Tracks like "No more weapons", "Blazing Fire" and "Door of no return" are exactly what I'm looking for.
