Cat Breath

My cat was actually on my lap and she actually did have catfood breath so in the interest of honesty I felt compelled to go with that. Otherwise I'd go with furniture. :-)

RE: Cat Breath

On that note, My cat Kos-Mos is going to have some kittens soon and I was trying to find homes for them. Anyone here living in West Virginia that would want a cat in about 11 weeks?

RE: Cat Breath

Isn't that option a mutation of a Ralph Wiggum quote? I think that the original line was "My cat's breath smells like dog food"....

RE: Cat Breath

Cat, kitten?..YES I WANT A CAT. I'll take the runt. I found a kitten that comeone dumped in a lake last week and I took it home, took it to the vet, and tried my best to take care of it. It was really little, just skin and bones. My vet guessed it to be 9 weeks old and she only weighed half a pound. It was to late though and she died on saturday. I only had her 4 days. Now I am compelled to have another kitten. Of course I can't really keep them because I am allergic, but my boyfriend is not and he loves cats. So yes DM I would love to have one of your little ones. I really would like to have the runt of the litter so please keep that in mind but as soon as they are born I will come look at them and check them out. I get first dibs though, ok. Ok, Until Laters.

Wait wait...I've been thinking this whole time that Dragonmaster and DM were the same person...but on the spelling post it appears to be another story.

RE: Cat Breath

Lol, ok, ok, you can have the runt. Thats the one that I usualy pick though. The mom is a very small cat and I'm worried about her being so big.

I'm in a bit of a delema though. When I picked her up at the pound I thought that once I left with her that she was mine. Two months after having her the pound calls and wants to know why I havent had her fixed yet. ops. I told them that she must have been pregnate when I picked her up and you know what they told me? To bring her in and have the kittens aborted or that they would pick her up and put her and the kittens to sleep! The ****! Thats my cat! I told them that if they even came into my yard I'd record the whole thing and sent it to all the animal righs activasts and news people I know, then put it on the internet. Anyway, they havent called back.

RE: Cat Breath

No, I don't use that name anymore. People come in and use a name wether or not someone else is already using it.

DM, DT, and a few others where all my names. I just go by dragonmaster now. Even half the time that isn't me either.......

RE: Cat Breath

ok, so was she ACTUALLY pregnant when you picked her up? or was there a little oops there? i hope she's not extremely young, i've heard it's kinda bad for cats and dogs to have litters when they're very young. i hope you keep at least one, too, cuz sometimes cats have that empty nest problem (or maybe there's another name i can't think of right now). my aunt has a cat who takes her beanie babies to a secret hiding place and takes care of 'em. When they take the beanies back and put 'em away she wails. she's had far too many litters, however.

i hope you get her fixed right away cuz cats and dogs will mate with their siblings, then you'll have all sorts of problems. and male cats will come from miles around when there's a female in heat. then you'll have even more problems!

i've already got two and i live in MN, so i can't take one. just got a runt kitty for my neighbors last week, too, so we're full. =) but i really hope you find great homes for all of 'em, and get 'em fixed asap!!!

RE: Cat Breath

I'm pretty shure she was pregnate when I got her. she's an inside cat so if she got that way at my house......... sick bastsrd little brother...........

I'll get her fixed as soon as the kittens are weened. If you do it before that cat stops producing milk for the kittens.

She is only one year old, and very small. She looks like a kitten herself. I didn't even have her a month before she started showing.

I asked a vet about it and she said that cats can hold the male cat semen for up to 8 weeks if she dosent feel safe in her current location. Thats probably why she was at the pound.

RE: Cat Breath

to the REAL Dragonmaster-

glad you're going to be a responsible owner! what hell you'd go through if you didn't get her fixed and she went into heat... yuk! used to have a friend whose cat would be locked in the basement during that time and she'd wail and wail.

the good thing is if she does happen to sneak out (or get close to that bastard little brother again) you won't have to worry about her coming back with any extras. my parents didn't think they needed to get their male neutered even though he roams the neighborhood (old farming community) until we had a female stray come around with two kitties. mom was scared that one looked like their male! but then the female one day decided she'd had enough of being a mom and came inside the house, so both of 'em went in for the snip. strays make the best cats- she knows they rescued her and she doesn't have to fend for herself anymore and she's very thankful. truly a great cat.

i hadn't heard the part about a female keeping male sperm for 8 weeks (EWE!) so i'm no longer surprised that she came home pregnant. that's so weird! how the heck do animals come up with this stuff???? of course, i'm sure they'd use a petrie dish and freezer if they had opposable thumbs...

be sure to post pics when kitties are born!!!!

good vibes, as OT says.

RE: Cat Breath

Yea, when a cat is in heat you cant even be around them. I'd remember that. She does shed a lot though......

It kinda descusted me to with the whole 8 weeks thing. I guess if there are a shortage of males in the area that would work to. Still sick though.

RE: Cat Breath

I'll make shure I post them. But I cant do it here. I'll put them on my site when I get it fixed and spell checked. lol

I'm not shure how much longer she's got left, she started showing about 1-2 months ago and she is HEUGE now. She sleeps in the box that I put in corner now. So cute. :-)
