dragonmaster, do you believe in magic faries too?

Dragonmaster. Sereously. Get a life. Really think about it, the dragon has always been regarded as a MYTHICAL creature. Which means it has mystical features which means these features cannot work. How do birds take flight? Its because their bones are hallow and so are the feather shafts. They are lightweight creatures, the dragons that you propose are most definatly NOT lightweight, the mechanics of their bone structure COULD NOT WORK. Secondly, you claimed that bones have been found. Could these just mabey be DINOSAUR bones? Hmmm. Also, the fire. Its a huge problem. Fire burns at approximatly 2000 °F. The soft interior throat of a large lizard could not withstand that heat, without bursting into flame. The fire, the flight, the FALSE information. It's not physically possible for dragons to have lived and survived. If, and this is a big if, if they did live, the couldnt have lived for very long. Their lagre body weight would have restricted their movement, this only being aggravated by their big cumbersome wings that served no purpose. They would be big slow brutes, burning their mouths every time they went to take a bite of something. So in conclusion, suck me.

RE: dragonmaster, do you believe in magic faries too?

Have there been heavy creatures, who had wings were big fast and such? Sure they even exsist now ostriches, can they fly? No...Can they breath fire? No... DO they have scales? No...Are they related to lizards? No...OMG how can that be, and dinasoures? Well my friend, we've found some with feathers, like V-Raptors. What does that mean? Well you better figure out for yourself.

RE: dragonmaster, do you believe in magic faries too?

Fine, fine, if your going to start the same argument over and over again, go ahead, but at least try to read the other threads first. It might cut down on some of the repeating.

znaf,

The Dragon has NOT always been regarded as a mythical creature. Only until recently has it been so. As I have said before. The evidence is in the first Britanicas and other nature writings. Dijfferent species of dragon where discused at length in these.
Also, just becouse something is mythical dosent mean that it has mystical powers. Have I ever said that dragons could cast spells or other things of the sort? No I havent.
In regard to the bone structure, not all dragons could fly, in fact most couldent. It was most likely a defensive ability that let the young fly or glide away from danger, dragons, like most reptiles grew very slowly, and are very small coming out of the egg, hence the need for a quick way to get away from their preditors, like eagles. The wings didn't go away when the dragon grew out of them, but the large ones couldent fly, glide short distances mabie. Oh, and if you belive dragon bones have not been found, like you imply in your nezt sentance, then how can you argure their density? Interesting.
The fire, again not all dragons could breath fire, most likely the intelegent ones that had seen people doing the same thing at the carnivals of the middle ages, and had picked up the practice to scare people off. Unless you think that when people spit a flamable liquid at a torch its fake? It's not liked they cooked their food with it. Also fire does not burn at 2000 degrees. Fire burns at different temperature. Take regular table salt. It burns at 802 degrees farenhight. Try lighting a match under it and getting it to melt. You would have a hard time doing it with a bunsen burner. It just dosent get that hot.

"It's not physically possible for dragons to have lived and survived"

So all Dinosaurs where small? Wow, I didn't know that. Besides, I'm not talking about dragons that where the size of houses, if there where they would be so few in number and old thats why there where myths about them.
Again you go on to their massive weight, two things: first, there not the only creature that grew to such proportions (rare though as that was) and restricted movement? So a T-rex or other dinosoar that was a big as your house was slow? Is that what your saying? Or where just the dragons?

ostriches, how the F*** can you get Dragons and them confused? I could see if you had made and analogy to a Pterodactyl. If they did evolve from Dinos, like has been discused on other posts this week, thats where I'd place my guess.

Anyway, I'm shure that you'll argue that my info is incorect. But I'm just getting it from books, and not the books in the Sci Fi section. Go look in your local library, look in the history, nature, and animal sections. You'll find that there are some old books left that have the same things that I'm saying in them. Just go look for yourself. That way you can form a decent argument.

Sorry, in my hast I mistyped some things.

eagles where their predetors in some locations.

Table salt dosent burn at 802 degrees, it melts at this temp, don't confuse melting with desolving mind you.

One man that gatherd a lot of evidence on dragons and other creatures is Charles Gould. Try to find his books.

RE: dragonmaster, do you believe in magic faries too?

Ok, i never said ALL dragons would have been as big as houses. Secondly, FIRE burns at 2000 F. Pure fire; flame. The actual flame burns at 2000. And you kind of ****ed yourself when you said they could have evolved from dinosaurs. What you say are dragons were probably subspecies of dinosaurs. Third. I said in order for dragons to be able to fly their bones would have to be hallow. I never said any were found. Fourth, and this has nothing to do with dragons, I saw your picture on your website and one word came to mind: ****BAG. So go play your dungeons and dragons, say the wizard, become king, whatever. But people here are tired of your ****.

DM, the only "proof" you have comes from old encyclopedias, dating from before the idustrial revolution, when most of the world was backwards and superstitious, and "scientists" didn't need to prove their works. Did any of the naturalists who supposedly saw dragons brig any back? No.
