GIRL ADVICE

So, my girlfriend dumped me. Sad and hurt and all of that, but I don't need advice about that.

Last Christmas me and this girl kind of almost had a fling, but, I asked her out on a few dates and she kept saying she was busy, so I assumed that she meant 'No.' Busy=No, I learned that at a young age. So I decided to play the jealousy card a little, and told her 'Things with me and Rachel seem to be getting off to a nice start.' Apparently, she did want to date me, and she was legitimetley busy...she played the jealousy card back, and said 'Really? I just met a guy last night...how funny...we both find someone at the same time." Well, long story short, Eddie dumped her long ago, and Rachel just dumped me.

So, the other day I get pulled out of first period by our school receptionist, and she gives me a flower. It has a note that says "It's your turn to get a rose. -Your Secret Admirer." I'm all happy and la-tee-dah for the rest of the day, until fourth period. So, Cassie (girl from christmas) and I sat next to eachother during AP-English, and we had an essay test to do. So, the flower is sitting on my desk, the note facing towards me, and I'm peeking at her essay...it's the same hand writing. So after class I jokingly say, "You're my secret admirer arent you?" She very quickly responds with, "I just wanted to see that big smile on your face again and know that I put it there on a day when you would have been frowning otherwise. And I also couldnt pass up the opprounity to make Rachel so jealous and ****ed off that she gave up such a great guy like you, and get it in her head that every girl at school is thinking she's an idiot, and wants nothing more than to be your princess." So I'm flattered and in shock that she would do something that cool for me. I think nothing of it though.

Today, I walk into writing, and she's sitting atop my desk with a teddy bear in her lap. (Sweet damn does this teddy smell good....) I say "Cassie...did you go buy me another present?" She says "No. I've had this thing since I was a little girl. Old Honeydue here has helped me get through some really tough times...and now I think you need her more than I do...so now you'll always have my shoulder to cry on, even if I'm not there." I once again, was blown away by her kindness, but still thought nothing of it. Well, okay I thought a little bit of it. But not enough, evidently.

So, tonight hanging out with my friend Emily, we're talking about the breakup and how I'm doing, and she's asking if I have any little crushes or girls I'm interested in and I tell her about one of them. She says "Is that it?" I tell her "No...theres actually four in total." To which Emily replies "Then who are the other two?" I look at her kind of blankly and she says "What...like you thought it wasn't obvious that you have a thing for Cassie? It's pretty obvious that she likes you, too."

Cassie and I have talked about this, not really since Rachel and I ended...but during the time I was with Rach she stood pretty strongly by "No, I wouldnt want to date my best guy friend... I wouldn't want to create drama and problems." And we havnt discussed it too much since Rach and I ended.... but.... I know it sounds so obvious that things are right there with us.... but if they're right there, why didn't I notice this before. Leme know what you all think!

RE: GIRL ADVICE

The best advice I can give is to not get serious in school. This is old advice but, get your education, get a good job, then get serious. Just be shure to stay good friends until then. Otherwise she might endup with someone else. That would suck.

RE: GIRL ADVICE

no way, totally go for this cassie girl. if you like her and she likes you, then there is nothing better than hooking up. so what if you're friends. my ex-boyfriend was my best friend for years. now we don't really see very much of each other, (ie. date) but we still talk all the time and he's still my friend. i realize it doesn't work that way, but if you two really have chemistry, romantically or otherwise, then you can make anything work.

RE: GIRL ADVICE

So its for sure that she actually does like me? I guess I usually don't see these things because I always think I'm being dumb and flattering myself whenever I think someone is showing interest.

RE: GIRL ADVICE

It seems pretty obvious that she does like you, but you can tell for sure by asking yourself this: Is she this nice to all of her friends? If she's being excessively nice, she probably likes you.

RE: GIRL ADVICE

So wait, your girlfriend dumped you three days after your birthday? That sucks. Screw her (not literally) and get with this other girl. She sounds cool.
