| Posted By: Rob Posted On: Jan 8, 2005 Views: 1650 | WHY? ok so 65% of the people who have visited this site have said YES tk exists. so can you please answer this question: WHY DO YOU THINK IT EXISTS? firstly im a great believer in science and the laws of physics, BUT i also have an open mind like many thousands of other people and i think its healthy to have an open mind. Theres a lot of arguing going on at the moment about this topic which to me is very understandable, because making big claims about something with out even a HINT of a theory to why it exists or is happening is just simply not acceptable. so im curious to know WHY 65% of you actually think something like this exists ? WHAT IS YOUR THEORY ? |

There is no scientific reason being offered at all, theres a lot of what ifs and maybes and to be honest a lot of hope in it aswell, but theres no scientific reason there. i asked the qustion why do you think it exists? so 65% of the people that believe tk exists is based on the fact we are all made up of the same atoms and can cause a reaction through our brain which is made of flesh and blood? |

If they had any understanding of science, if they were capable of rational thought, if they were able to apply logic to a question, then they wouldn't believe in TK. How many intelligent and educated people do you know that believe in TK? I rest my case. |

(free energy) i dont think so, tkers say they control this movement so how can it be "free" energy. |

I have already proved two of them wrong and he removed them. The Hutchison Effect is just another heap of garbage he stumbled across and is so awful it doesn't even warrant an explanation as to why it is so appallingly bad. And yes, I could prove it, but as it took me 2000 words the last time I have no intention of doing it again. What would be the point? There are enough wacky websites out there to give him enough material to reprint for the next 20 years at least. We can all use Google for ourselves thanks. PJ tries hard, but he is new to the world of physics, and science in general. He is simply trawling the net, finding articles that he thinks might loosely support TK, and reprints them. The problem is that because he does not have a scientific background he puts entirely wrong interpretations on what he finds, wrongly connects unrelated theories, and takes his sources from anybody, even if the source is unknown. He calls this science. Those of us who know how to use a little judgement and know how to read an article, call it garbage. |

They cannot reproduce the effect consistently yet. Anything like that tends to be poor quality in the views of the scientific community. As to the 'free' energy, it is only a term that was coined. 'Free' doesn't imply that it is entirely uncontrollable. It might be just another bunch of hogwash, sure. What you guys seem to miss, is that PJ is working from the other end of the affair than you are. He believes he can do telekinesis already, and is trying to figure out how it works. The sceptics, however, have not seen anything to lead you to believe it and thus rely on a solid theory before further investigation of possibilities. That's not a 'bad' thing of course - it's completely rational. It's just a thought ;) Greg |
