| Posted By: Entih Posted On: May 14, 2006 Views: 788 | Research I am Entih, a (albeit self proclaimed) psychic, and no, I do not have evidence to back up my claim. Allow me to begin by saying that I understand the utter necessity of skepticism, and I myself and a skeptic of most of what I hear. That is right, I claim to move more than a paper or straw mentally, yet I disbelieve most of what I am told. Despite the way that I often find what you say here irritating, I cannot help but respect that you actually make an of effort. Ahem, allow me to now point out why I am making this post. I have come accross many a post in here claiming that no self-respecting scientist will claim psychokinesis real, or research it. I do find that this is rather false, as not only does the government research it, but there are a number of research centers dedicated to such parapsychology. One of the most well known of such centers is the Rhine Research Center, at www.rhine.org . There are a number more of quite legitimate research centers out there, including in them physicists, psychologists, and other scientists, but since they are not that difficult to find, I do not see it necessary to post them. I do look forward to your reply, to find your views on such research centers. I appologize in advance if this was covered already, but in what I looked through could not find it. |

I do not find them credible, and they have no studies that are beyond the 70's. I try to keep up to date with the world of science, and to my knowledge there have been no credible paranormal discoveries of note. If you want to meet up and perform a test of your abilities I am sure I can arrange something |

However, I am certain I saw at least two more active research centers on the internet, not sure if they were actually valid, but they were actively updated. I will try to find them again to get your opinion(s). As for what I claim to do, since you bring it up. I have claims to simple telepathy, still looking into remote viewing, with some odd occurences at that, and psychokinesis on a soda can (level surface, I make sure). Then again, since I do not have any evidence to back up my claims, I cannot expect you to believe it. I am perfectly content not being believed by people until I am good enough to satisfy the currently strenuous idea of "test conditions". |

When I am satisfied with my performance, I will be sure to look around to authenticate myself. Back to the research institutes. I have found one, http://www.noetic.org/ , The institute of Noetic sciences. Although founded in the 70's, it is still very active, look at it as you wish. Apparently it has focus on heavy scientific research and rigorous methods. Not to mention there is... well, just visit the wikipedia page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parapsychology , which coincidentally contains a ton of research links at the bottom. I Do not have the time right now to scan through them all, sadly. I suspect that there is at least one valid research center in that list of links. |

If these labs ARE doing research, have they found any conclusive evidence that TK exists. I would have thought if they had they would have put it on the news or published it in a scientific paper, with some credibilty. I know i seem like a skeptic but i am only because i dont want my time or my hopes wasted on something false, or something that no one can show me exists. |
