Is The Jury Still Out?

I think the fact that the 1 million dollar prize has never been claimed is interesting. If I had telekenesis, I would go and claim it right now. Additionally, if I could, I would lift a large automobile or truck with my mind to claim the money. Forget straws and toothpicks. If you are going to do it, do it for real, lift something incredible. Make the doubters drop in shock. I did see the experiments Keith has done in the videos. It does succeed in casting doubt on the existence of telekenesis. I am going to stop short of saying it proves it, but it does cast some strong doubt. However, there are some truly great magicians out there that can do some things that truthfully I can't explain. I realize that it is just a trick or an illusion but it looks so real and sometimes truly amazing. I was in Vegas one time and a man that was playing 21 alone with a dealer made the cards fly out of the dealer's hands one at a time and made them land face up. He even made them sort of dance and fall on the table showing the dealer. He would say, " I think I am going to stand." or "I think I will hit."
I think he may have been drinking a bit. It shocked everyone. The dealer I thought was going to die right there on the spot. The thing is, the guy was playing at the same table for a few hours and did not tricks. No one ever thought he was going to do something like this or knew he was a magician. He was just a normal guy in a light brown suit jacket and tie. I don't think he was cheating, but the casino asked him to leave. I guess he could cheat and probably not get caught and that was enough for the casino to toss him. Awesome trick though. It was like Star Wars and the force. Cards just lifted up and with a wave of his hand they approached him and set in front of him face up on the table. Really wild stuff! I know it is just a trick, or was it? Keith, help me out here. It's hard to say. Was he the real thing or just a guy who knew a few tricks? Tough to say with any kind of certainty.

RE: Is The Jury Still Out?

Not having witnessed the event personally I am not in any position to say.
However, I very much doubt if it happened that way. Had you been drinking by any chance?
All the tables have an overhead camera recording the game and the players. If it happened it would have been caught on tape and we would all know about it.
We don't all know about it.
What more needs be said?

Are you suggesting he was so drunk he hallucinated the whole incident?! Also if it the guy didn't do anything strange that hinted at cheating, why did the casino throw him out?

I congratulate that man on a superb trick. I also think it is taking it too far to say that Unicode imagined it all.

RE: Is The Jury Still Out?

Who said anything about he imagined it all?
I only asked if he had had a drink, because as we all know that can alter perception, and is a valid question in this context.
I also said I doubt it happened that way, i.e. by TK.
The vast majority of people on this planet would agree with me.
It could have been a very good trick as was suggested.
However, if anyone wants to think it really happened that way and the guy has super powers that is their choice.

RE: Is The Jury Still Out?

OK sorry I misunderstood the context of whether (s)he'd had a drink or not. Now, you say that if it was done by tk then it would be on film and we would all know about it. Not necessarily. If it was tk and the casino saw it on camera but they only thought it was a magic trick, the casino wouldn't publish the film footage because everyone knows you can do magic tricks to produce tk effects. It would only be worth the casino's time publishing it if they themselves were convinced it was tk and were prepared to put their reputations on the line by submitting it to the public as footage of tk occuring.
