I don't wish to appear rude, but may I respectfully suggest you look up the meaning of 'paranormal' and see how it applies to the examples you have given of idiot savants. Allow me to give you an example. "The world record is held by Japan. Jirojuki Goto took 10 hours 50 minutes to recite Pi to 42,195 decimal places in 1989." This guy, and others like him, are not idiot savants, they just have this amazing rare ability. It isn't paranormal, just very unusual. So is running 100 metres in 9.7 secs. |
