nice site

Good site, but take the links to the $1,000,000 challenge off your site. The guy is a jerk, so whether TK exists or not, they are just as deceptive as any magician or psychic. (The "million dollar Prize" is offered in exchangable bonds... but you can't get any info on said binds unless you beat the challenge, which YOU have to pay all the expenses for.

RE: nice site

A million dollars in exchangable bonds sounds good to me. What details about them makes any difference, its guaranteed money for heavens sake!
Would you rather it was a cheque?
And you don't think it fair that you are expected to pay your own expenses? You are the one claiming you can do it and will therefore pocket the prize, so what's a little out of pocket expenses compared to that?
Or do you think he should pay all the expenses for every Tom, Dick & Harry that comes along with a wild claim?
We need to be realistic.

RE: nice site

It may be guaranteed money, but that doesn't mean you'll suddenly have a million dollars to spend as soon as you win the prize. If the money is in bonds (which it is) then you might have to wait 40 years before the bond matures and you get the money, effectively making your big load of bonds worthless bits of paper. In that time you might have earnt the money in a more conventional way. If no information is available about the maturity dates of the bonds, there's no way you can judge whether it is worth trying to win or not. It becomes a question less "I can do it, so let's win the prize and prove it to science", and more "I may be able to do it, but even if I do prove it and win the prize, what's in it for me?". That, in short, is why the issue of the prize as bonds might deter a lot of people from trying. If it was in cash, people would flood to try and claim the prize.

RE: nice site

I honestly don't think that because it is bonds it has deterred anyone from trying.
The reason no TKer has tried is because no one can demonstrate TK, it's that simple, no excuses needed.
BTW the BBC took up the challenge about a year ago, it was to do with water having a 'memory'. They were able to verify that the prize was genuine and as good as cash.
They failed to demonstrate the claim, but the money is real for sure.

RE: nice site

As far as I understood from the JREF site, you can get information on the bonds if you request it in writing from the bond holders.
If it bothers you so much, I suggest you enquire about it on the JREF forums.

I'm pretty certain the money is good.
And even if it isn't, the fame would be worth far more than that.
It's the number of hoops you have to jump through to succeed that's intimidating.
Not that you can really blame him I suppose - it IS 1 mil.
