i pretty much dont believe in the whole tk thing but dont u think if tk made the papers everone would start doin it? u no how much the crime rate would go up? our security wouldnt be able to keep up. so if a tker proved a scientist that it is real most likely the scientists wouldnt let it get out to the public (p.s. i no im makin tk sound all powerful but just incase it is) ( which most likely it isnt)

RE: theory

What on earth makes you think that if we read in the papers that TK was real we would all start doing it? How? Why?
There are millions of internet posts where people swear blind they can do it, and that hasn't made a scrap of difference, nor would a newspaper story. Why should it?

"What on earth makes you think that if we read in the papers that TK was real we would all start doing it? How? Why?"

Because, as you have said before, people would want to be superheroes. In addition, any new thing immediately cathes on and becomes a fashion. It would become the latest and greatest thing to show off:

"I can spin a psi wheel with no hands."
"Yes, but I can roll a pen."
"Yes, but I can levitate a brick."

etc, etc, etc. That is of course an exaggeration, but if tk was proved there would certainly be a lot more interest in it.

Yes, I would accept there would be a lot more interest in TK, that is obvious, but that wouldn't somehow lead to people suddenly being able to do it just because they are interested.

There are thousands of people already who are interested in TK, and believe in it 100%, but no one has come forward to demonstrate it.

It would lead to people trying to work out whether it is a gift you are born with or one which you can learn. If the latter turned out to be true, loads more people would try learning and then there would be an increase in the number of people who could do it. You are right, however, that whatever happened people wouldn't suddenly wake up the next day making lightbulbs explode and flying their car to work.

"flying their car to work"
Now there's something to look forward to. Everyone flying their cars, and having 3 dimensional lane-changing accidents :D

Cars!
We wouldn't need cars, we would just fly.
Only without drugs this time.
