Anti TK?

Wow... ok I read your site being mildly curious if PK/TK is possible and found myself pleased to find something that seemed to be a "study (of) the subject in an objective, rational and logical manner.

How wrong was I!

Aside from some interesting videos of how TK can be explained in physics, the majority of what I have just read seemed to be little more than petty sniping at people who believe in PK/TK. You seem to be openly scarcastic in a report that was meant to be unbiased.

Looks like I came to the wrong place.

(tip. lose the sarcasm and maybe think of doing a psychological study of why people believe they can do it. I mean, with all these people "cheating" there must be a huge problem amongst them of self delusion. And then theres the flip side where you could study why there are people that seem to lack a belief gene.)

RE: Anti TK?

I don't think he was going out of his way to be hurtful or cynical, but when you look at articles like that from the point of view of a skeptic, you see inconsistencies. Basically, the human mind searches for evidence to support what it already believes. Therefore, when someone is trying to link a scientific phenomena with TK, they tend to overlook the parts that would refute their beliefs. This is why he pokes fun at the holes in PJ's argument. Of course someone who wants to believe is going to grasp at straws trying to back their ideas up, and of course rational minds will shoot them down. I believe that TK is possible, but what needs to be done to understand and properly use it is for the creative and rational minds to work together to find a solution that would (FINALLY) make sense to both types of people. Until then, I don't think anyone short of a genius would be able to understand enough about TK to do anything of significance.

RE: Anti TK?

Hi Roach,
I have a problem when people claim to be able to do something, such as TK, but when asked to demonstrate it in public say they are unable to. The many reasons supplied why they can´t makes no difference to the outcome. The only "evidence" we have for TK is videos, and there is no need for me to elaborate on the worthlessness of that as evidence, and heresay.
If peole who claim to have TK expect to be taken seriously then they have to act in a serious manner and get tested in a lab, then maybe we can all move forward.
It isn´t go to happen though and we all know why, its because TK doesn´t exist.
So why dosn´t someone prove me wrong?

RE: Anti TK?

In Keith's defense, I don't think he was being anti-TK. I think he was jaded by his own study.

For instance, he may have began this study objectively, but then asking people to demonstrate their TK abilities and hearing, "well I can't because you're watching," or "you're are sucking my mental energy," has probably made him anti-TK.

Imagine the frustration you would have trying to find a shred of evidence in an area, and then finding that the people who could "prove" it, only make excuses as to why.

I did sense his anti-TK stance during his study, but it seemed like it was born of frustration.

Keith, I do like how you can admit your weaknesses, which shows you can be objective, even toward yourself. Which means you probably started this project neutrally...

I'm certain that if TK was scientifically proven, Keith would undoubtedly concede he was wrong.
