Hmm...

I haven't looked in here for quite a while now, but it seems the average age of posters here has gone down by at least a decade. Have the days of eloquent bigotry passed this corner of the internet by? Why, no-one even bothers to mock Dragonmaster in a faintly amusing manner any more...

By the way, as far as I'm concerned this is Random Topic no. 359, although I'm open to debate.

RE: Hmm...

Not to fret Sir Jack, there are some of us out there still in search of eloquence. I've gone over to IMDB and back but it's about the same over there.

And btw, what were random topics 1 - 358? I don't remember those at all...must be my medication.

RE: Hmm...

So there are still a few polysyllabic sorts left amongst the cocaine-addled pre-teen masses. Marvellous.

I don't mean to whinge, but it did rather disgust me to see such a large amount of topics with more than one exclamation mark in the title appearing here. So, to respond to my fan base...

Granny K: The essential idea of the random topic system is that I pick a random number for a topic each week, and so these numbers aren't sequential. Thus topics 1-358 may appear at some point in the future. And if you insist on addressing me formally, my correct title is His Eminent Nobility the Lord Jack Jordan. And you should bow whilst typing it.

Aurora: I'm glad too see you haven't abandoned the boards yet. However, you're not helping the general look of the place by having a name that is so awkward to spell correctly. I've retyped it twice already and it still looks wrong. Either remedy the situation yourself or I may have to refer to you as 'Gladys'.

dude101: I haven't heard anyone saying 'pronto' in years. Congratulations on being original.

Dragonmaster: I didn't start this topic with the specific aim of calling people to arms against you. I merely meant that people used to be quite amusing when they were mocking you. I would be entirely happy for people to endlessly attack me on this board, as long as they did it in an entertaining fashion.

TK: I have not yet formed any opinions on your sexuality of choice, and nor do I especially wish to speculate. Please find something more interesting to talk about.

Apologies for the long post, but I have nothing better to do with my life than inflict such rambling diatribes on the unsuspecting internet.

RE: Hmm...

Kt, eh? Like the anti-TK, but with less capitalisation...

So, what do you do in life, Space Pirate (or Aurora, or anyone else for that matter). I am an incredibly dull person who currently books hotels for people over the phone in order to make some money to travel in Ukraine for a while.

By the way, I would appreciate if the mysterious Dr. Z would grace this topic with his presence. At some point in the past on this site he claimed to have taken his name from the film of Dr. Zhivago. I just wanted to know whether he had actually read the original book by Boris Pasternak, and what he thought of it. Very pretentious of me, of course, but that's what I'm like.

By the way, for all those people who want to find out more about me and find more details of my daily life to laugh at, I have an internet bloggy thing at http://www.livejournal.com/users/jackjordan334/ . Try not to read it too much - I hear it can cause depression and intenal bleeding in the uninitiated.

Jack darling, what do I do? well, I sell drugs to pay for school.
In school I study criminology. I'm a paradox. I just got home from work, so alas my all of my cylinders are not firing at optimal speeds, but I have decided to start stalking your website.

Yes, I think that would be the proper thing to do.

RE: Hmm...

Yes, Jack, I have read Dr. Zhivago and in my opinion the film adaptation is second only to Catch-22. Granted, Catch was a satirical novel, Omar Sharif pulled of the Doc very well. I happen to have a 1st edition of 'Dr. Zhivago' that I picked up at an auction for well below market value. Apparently, some poor widow had to sell the estate to cover all of the bills and I wound up with a treasure. In any case, it is good to see someone posting on here with a little pretentiousness and I'm glad to make your acquaintance.

RE: Hmm...

What, you have one of the original first editions in Russian? You should be shot, you lucky bastard...

My apologies for my last post, with its blatent plug for my blog - my only excuse was that I was quite marvellously drunk at the time of writing.

Aurora, what do you want to do with your criminology once you've finished studying? And don't worry about your cylinders not firing 'at optimal speeds'; mine haven't been working for years. In fact, I'm fairly certain I lost a couple of cylinders at birth and have been on rather low form since...

Anyway, farewell for now, o board. I have a hangover to nurse, lunch to prepare and the journey to work to contemplate.

RE: Hmm...

Once I finish my Criminology degree, I will be off to law school to become a criminal lawyer. And eventually, I will be PM.

And there will be no ill will spoken of your brain power. I read some of your site, you're too witty for you're own good.
