It is unlikely that he actually received a dishonorable discharge, but there are actually 3 levels in between. After he came back from the war, he was not out of the military. He was still required to complete 26 weekends a year and a two week block per year. It is probably because he did not follow through on this commitment that he did not recieve an honorable discharge. Releasing those records would devistate his run for the presidency. |
