Um, dragontkbationmaster if you’re going to attempt to insult someone regarding their reading/writing skills, I seriously suggest that you make sure that your post is free from errors.

For future reference, it’s “truly”

I'd say dragonmaster's reading and writing skills are at a 5th grade level.

RE: Gay TK costume?

This may be blasphemy because I'm and Enlgish Major...but it doesn't really matter! As long as I know what you're saying, I don't care if you follow rules. I spell things wrong all the time, and still even get "To" and "Too" wrong fricking constantly... but when it comes to submitting work to a publisher... they have wonderful people called 'Technical Writers' who fix that for you.... also knows as 'Editors.'

Syrgot:

You buffoon! Editors are not there so writers don't have to know how to write! Your attitude is indicative of how different a Journalism degree is from an English degree! They actually teach journalists how to write! Proper grammer and writing style is important in virtually every profession. If you ever expect to have a decent job, I suggest you endeavor to articulate you communication skills.

Regards,

DOLE

RE: Gay TK costume?

Mr. Dole,

It appears to be obvious that while journalism might be teaching you better technical writing skills, they have entirely failed you in the department of reading comprehension.

I never stated that it was either an irrelevant issue, or that literacy should not be taught. I simply stated that 'It doesn’t really matter.' Now, I understand how one might be able to construe this as meaning something other than how it was intended, but I later very clearly explained, "As long as I know what you're saying, I don't really care." Meaning, "As long as I know what you're trying to say, I don't care if you make yourself look stupid in the process."

I won’t back down from my confession that I do spell things incorrectly CONSTANTLY, and/or that I do mix up ‘To’ and ‘Too,’ as often as I spell things incorrectly. However it was also never stated that I don’t go back and fix my mistakes. But when push comes to shove, Mr. Dole, the editor is there to pick up the little things you may have missed as well as to give you suggestions on the bigger issues. There is no Pulitzer Prize in spelling, nor is there one in grammar. William Butler Yeats did not become who he was because of either of these, but because of creativity and poetic brilliance.

Lastly, I would like to suggest that you too “endeavor to articulate you communication skills.” ’Grammer’ is not actually a word, I believe you were referring to ‘Grammar,’ which I will agree with you is a very important concept to grasp, regardless of whether you are majoring in Journalism, or English Creative Writing.

Perhaps you might want to look into hiring and editor… or do journalists not need editors because ‘they actually teach journalists how to write?’ But regardless, I don’t care either way, because even though you succeeded in making yourself look stupid, I still understood exactly what you were trying to say. This was precisely the point I was trying to make in the first place, and I greatly thank you for aiding me in proving my point.

Regards,
Syrgot
