RE: I havent watched Nascar since Richard Pettys last

I have a question for all you Wiccan/Wicken people out there. Or mabie someone like the Doc. that could look it up. I had a friend give me a black velvet pouch, he said for nobody but me to open it, and to draw a cross with a curved bottom, like a "J" and a "T" mixed together. With what was inside. I get home and there is a white powder inside, not sand or suger, it was realy fine, kinda klumped together? so I draw the thing and all and blow it off the table like he said. but what does it mean? I havent seen him in months and he just came out of the blue. I was just wondering, cant seem to find that spell anywhere. I'd realy like some help. oh, and it was apperently time sensetive also. Something about the stuf drying out to much.

Thanks, I know this is a bit wierd and all, if it cant be posted here i check my e-mail at

My first (and so far only) girlfriend was Wiccan. Of course, this is because she is schizophrenic and actually sees things magically change when she casts spells.
Wicca annoys me with its horrendous stupidity.

Note that the Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Islam, Judaism) annoy me with their horrendous stupidity as well.
Now I'm sure I'll get people impersonating me from now on because of that comment, but I don't care, really.

Its kinda the "original" religion. It was here first.

Anyway, I'm not here to debate magic and all that, you either belive or you don't. I just cant find that one incantation and need a little help finding it. I have the four directions and all that without going to much into it, but what could it be for?

Wicken was not the first religion. What the hell are you talking about? Pagan and wicken are not the same thing, which people apparently don't know.

The "original" religion?

Do tell, how far back does it go? Are you saying it preceeds the Egyptions?

From my understanding, Wicca is more of a religion of the north. Since that area was not among the first that were populated I would imagine that those populations would not have been the first to develop a religion.

I have no facts to back this up, just my musings.

the first religion was in greece, but it wasnt religion inasmuch as anything good happens, they just beleived everyone died and went to the same ****hole. More advanced forms of religion came shortly later around the meditteranean and egypt.

It's impossible to say what the "original" religion was. Judaism, Shintoism and various tribal religions have been around for thousands of years. Many religions that are no longer around still influence ones that exist today. An ancient Persian religion called Zoroastrianism served as the basis for the ideas about heaven, hell and the final judgment that are now the cornerstone of Judaism, Islam (I think), and Christianity.

That said, I really don't give a **** what religion somebody belongs to, just so long as they don't go around trying to impose their beliefs on me. I actually find paganism and Wicca (not that they're the same thing) pretty interesting, even if they're not the same.

Let me amend that last post. The end of the final sentence was supposed to read, ".....even if I don't actually believe in them."

"Its kinda the "original" religion"

The first rligions where about nature and the peoples suroundings. Hence "Kinda". Things like Stonehenge where around long before the Egyptions. it just took some time for it to get a name, but the roots of it where one of the first.

Well said.

I think were ok if we just do our best to not hurt anybody along the way, and try to be a good person. The main thing about Christianity was that Jesus died for our sins, and if we belived that we'd go to heaven, well it's been proven that Jesus did live, and he died, so I have that covered, reincarnation isn't a big deal, as long as I don't come back a Bacteria or something. lol

RE: I havent watched Nascar since Richard Pettys last

I think we need to separate what is considered 'organized religion' from the various nature religions that worship fertility goddesses and their earthly embodiments. Tiny pregnant statues have been found dating back to 10,000 B.C.E which were most commonly associated with Astarte the fertility goddess. There was also worship of Ba'al who was a kind of earth god. Without havind done any research specifically concerning the primordial organized religion I would probably lean towards Zoroastrianism or Judaism.
