If it would rain only on the unjust.

It would be great if it would rain only on the unjust instead of falling equally on the just and the unjust.

You would know who was unjust by the fact that they were being rained on.

But that would really cut into the umbrella business if only unjust people needed umbrellas, and if world peace ever broke out and there were only a few unjust people, there would be a worldwide drought. Of course, the drought would probably result in more injustice, and then more people would start getting rained on.

I'm not exactly sure what defenition of Just or Unjust you're using... but if you're talking about sinners, it would still rain just like normal. Well.... depending on what religion you are of.

RE: If it would rain only on the unjust.

It's a Bible quote, but I'd have to whip out the Strong's Concordance to find out just what it means by "just" and "unjust."

It's from Matthew, Chapter 5, verse 45, part of the famous "Sermon on the Mount":

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

I think "publicans" were Roman tax collectors, much despised among the Jews of the day.

Bob Dole thinks that the republicans are the just and the democrats are the unjust. Does that further explain things for ya?
