There was a small sect of Mormons who interpreted part of Joseph Smith's writings to say that that was okay, but 99.9999% of them don't believe in that. When they marry someone they have to vow their soul to that person for ETERNITY, and if worst comes to worst and they get a divorce, they can't get married under the Mormon church again. They can do it legally (but I think that's only because their church can't legally stop them), but their soul is still vowed to that one person, and once the get up into heaven they're stuck with the one they divorced 'Forever, and all eternity.' I dated a Mormon for quite a while, and even though we broke up (because her family caught on that I am in fact, an agnostic and threatened to disown her,) were still best friends and we talk about religion all the time I will say that it definitely has some scary beliefs to it, but polygamy isnt one of them. |

This is one of the reasons I had to give up any form of Christianity. It's bull****. Theres something a lot better and older than that. It takes a lot of study and practice though. |
