How are failures different from failures?

Admission to the MBA
When applying for an MBA, you will not only have to talk about your shortcomings, but also give an example from life when you failed. Discussing both these topics is equally unpleasant, but there is an essential difference between them, which should not be forgotten.
For example, in an essay on failure, you can mention shortcomings, but first of all, you should talk about a specific case in life when circumstances did not turn out the way you would like. Then you should write about what lesson you learned from an unpleasant situation, and how you used the experience gained in the future. You can explore this and other topics in detail at https://essaypay .com/debate-topics-for-students/. You can also find yourself the best essay writing assistant.

If, for example, you worked as a team on a project that didn't succeed, don't blame your colleagues. You need to be able to take responsibility for your actions - this is the only way you will show the selection committee that the experience you have gained has taught you something.

Weaknesses are certain character traits that are always present. They prevent a person from developing or achieving goals, but they can be eliminated. Sorry to have to explain the obvious, but many applicants don't seem to see the difference, and describe flaws instead of failures and vice versa.
By talking about your weaknesses, you can simultaneously emphasize your positive features or show how you learned to overcome difficulties. Likewise, by being honest about your failures, you may make a good impression on the admissions committee.

Let's take an example. Before entering the MBA, one applicant was fired several times. He was afraid to talk about it in an essay - as it turned out, in vain: telling about his difficult career path, he demonstrated conscientiousness, the ability to learn from his mistakes, maturity and determination. All these qualities are highly valued in business schools. As a result, our applicant not only entered the MBA, but also received an award.

Sometimes in an essay you need to talk about the difficulties that you faced in life. Other examples should be given here: the death of a close relative, a serious illness, or other circumstances that put you in a difficult situation. These are circumstances beyond your control - do not confuse them with professional blunders. Illness, for example, can also prevent a person from achieving his goal, but it cannot be considered a disadvantage. Therefore, you should carefully read the topics of the essay. Understand what is required of you, and answer strictly to the question posed. The admissions committee needs specific information - confusing the topics of the essay, you can deprive yourself of a chance to enter.

RE: How are failures different from failures?

Thanks, very helpful article. I would like to add that shortcomings are considered by the commission even more than achievements. I myself was in the selection committee and I know from colleagues that, first of all, they look at how a person talks about failures, with what emotions. As practice shows, people who can talk about failures perceive criticism during training much better and they manage to stay longer in the workplace in the future. Such people are valued.

RE: How are failures different from failures?

The commission considers failures more than successes. I was on the selection committee, and colleagues told me they first consider how a waffle game candidate discusses shortcomings. People who may discuss shortcomings during training perceive criticism better and stay longer in the company. They're treasured.
