bihari spirit

we need a strong leadership who can unify all biharis with strong feelings. we all are great. the thing is that we don't accept others also as great, specially if he is our brother.

Sajeed jee , misra jee, rajesh jee & all

My dear friends from Bihar,
I have been going through different postings on this website from you people. One thing I understand very well that each of us wants a developed & prosperous Bihar (our motherland) inspite of having different ideology/affliation. More or less everybody agrees with the present worse state of affairs of our Bihar. Poeple are surviving at mercy of god and hardly anybody is fighting genuinely for betterment of general public.
We all dream for socially & ecoomically developped bihar where rules of law(our democratic constitution) prevails. We all dreams that every body (citizen) should receive same respect irrespective of their caste , religion or political affiliation and should get equal opprtunity to prosper & develop.
We are facing thousands problems , few of them are as follow :
1. Farmers are sufferring because of lack of electricity/ proper irrigation system / monetary help etc
2. Labour class almost gone to other states due to lack of jobs (agriculture/industries)
3. corrupt administartive system where you can't get any thing without paying bribary or showing contacts.
4. education system is totally ruined. None of governnemnt school, college , universities is running as per expectation. Due to this thousands of under educated (who can't get good job) & unempoyed students are coming out without having any destination. Finally these young people (future of our bihar) are compelled to hold rifle/lathee of criminals.
5. incompetent political system which lacks credibility / leadership quality /morality and sense of dedication/sacrifice to serve for betterment of people of bihar. Instead , since after independence , every political establishment worked for their own limited interest.
6. conservative & close minded caste/social structure where untouchabilty of dalit , looking down at unprevilage dalit/backwords etc still exists and everything is being seen from glass of caste/religion. This caste ridden mentality is very much being utilised by criminals & politician as a tool for their success.
7. Lack of respect for talent , honesty and openminded above caste/religion thinking.
You will often find that when a honest/educated person visit any village , people will hardly go to listen him but people jumps in hundreds when a criminal/politician visit them.
Somehow poeple got this mindset that only corrupt /their own caste politician or criminal can help them develop which is far from reality. It's great urgency to change this shortsighted mindset.
8. flight/exodas of educated middle class who has talent , stamina and spirit to fight for justice in serch of better job opprotunity & other scope of rojee-roti.
Once any well off person settles out of bihar , he hardly thinks to come back even he/she inspires others to leave bihar showing worse state of affairs of bihar where anything worse can happen with their fmily member (like kidnaping , abusement by criminal , harrasment by politicial/ corrupt officials)

so on ..so on..

We have been discussing these problems and cause of these problems on this discussion forum why not let we start discussing and doing something to improve on all these fronts where our beloved Bihar is failing.

Dear friends , let's make our dream happening.

Sajeed bhai,
I went through your analysis/letters and think you have very good understanding of bihar at grassroot level. If I'm not wrong you are a lecturer in university. You also very much craving for development of our Bihar and you have alredy suggested many things in this regards.
I request you to take a leadership role and come up with a comprehenive plan to do something for Bihar. You can use us (aggressive people like prabhat jee, rajeev jee , anil jee , rajesh jee etc of this forum) to make this Vision-Bihar.

I think we can start with followings :

1. making a comprehensive list of problem/shortcomings of our state. We should describe each problem in depth like when it stared happening and why etc.
2. come out with a 'Vision document' / declaration/charter which will provide a guideline for any citizen of bihar to attribute for any better cause of Bihar.

3. disucssion/ debate/ communication with general mass of bihar to change the pattern of thinking such a way that everybody starts thinking for best cause of Bihar.

4. make a list of organization who are already working in this direction and advetise their activities so that any interested person can attribute according to their capability .

I hope anil jee , rajesh jee, prabhat jee , rajeev jee and all will also provide you their ideas.

I also keep writing my ideas but I certainly look forward to your comment/suggestions.

Let's work for our dream Bihar.

aapka bhai

rajesh

you are right that it is painfully slow but you can neither hasten it by guns nor aimless, purposeless and inefficient politicians like laloo can help us. we have to help our selves with the help of those who have some humanaterian feelings left with them. and we find it every where. in every village. after all the deeds of laloo to make us enemy of each other.

first and last

i have been and will continue to watch you people, but most probably it will be my first and last comment on this site. two requests to all yoy BHADRALOKIS- respect the poor to avoid KRANTI and learn the importance of abilities- every one can't do every thing, we are all dependent on each other and at present the worst dependency is the economical dependency.

Caste and Class

So much talked about castes and unequality arising out of it. There is another dimension to this complex situation - class. Casteism seems to loose significance in higher class. Higher the class, less the castiesm. Now the question is - who belongs to the high-enough class? The answer is - very few. My guess is 2%. Just education is not the ticket to this club. Environment and upbringing has big influence.
Take a case study of RSS and Shiv sena activists. They are known castiests and communal and largely come from lower-middle class.

In sum, casteism is likely to diminish as we prosper. But this is tickle-down phenomenon and painfully slow. Grass root movements, both political and non-political, are better bet.

poor and laloo

laloo has been good to the poor people when we talk about awareness about the sociopolitical condition. for no one it is easy any more to cast vote on behalf of the down trodden. but it remains empty in the sense that they never got what was necessary for their real development. the most importantly the education setup was totally spoiled by laloo or he allowed it to decay. what ever is left is at the mercy of those who can afford a private education. ultimately any socio- political movement should be aimed at and should result in increased understanding of the people which is imposible with poor literacy. neither the naxal leasders nor these white washed gentlemen ever try to do that. they don't intend at first place. and mind you, without knowledge and information, no one can understand the difference between laloo and naidu.
for all those gentle people from bihar a small real incidence. a DUSHADH lady helped economically (they did not acompanyt them) by a bhoomihar family was operated for a head swelling at one of the best private hospitals of india at a cost 1/3rd of what it was told by the Patna neurosurgeon. at the end they were told that the swelling was not due to any injury and was probably due to a tumour. the very first question they asked from the poor neurosurgeon who had promised to not to charge his fee was that- if it was not due to the injury, why did you operate! they did not understand the gravity of the disease.
this is what laloo prasad has done. poor people are still at the mercy of others as they are illeterate, they have learnt to fight. worse has happened that every one is suscipious and hostile against each other.

Mr Rajesh

Dear Rajesh,
I guess your comments are very disturbing. What you are doing here is just blaming the so called upper clast is responsible for the plight of Bihar. I agree there were injustice in past but i bet present generation of upper caste are much more changed than their grandfathers. As you have currently pointed out that there were some attrocities by ranvir sena...but at the smae time I can also point out how many innocent Bhumihars have been killed. There is no way you can justify....dear friend its not a time to sow seeds of hateness but a time to find solution. So , please watch your words and rationality before you post any comment.

what are we

we have been kept under so many complexes by the society which includes every one around us. naxal movement teaches to come out of all those at psychological level first and up to that extent it is the best one. but when it comes to the power game and politics, it becomes petty politics. leaders can't give life to a dried, dead tree, they can pour water only to the plants which are still green. either we are not able to take benefit of the leaders or leaders don't know how to help us or they are not really interested! what ever, naxal movement is the another name of continuous cheating. people start their lives here which ends either with guns or with prosperity!

reality of naxal movement

naxal movement arises from the darkess and laloo did every thing to continue the darkness and our activities. now our leaders are not with laloo b'cause they got some light in their lives and i am sure very soon either they will no more remain naxal leader or they themselve will not remain any more.
rajesh, get some light and bring some to those who are not enlightened. don't perpetuate the darkness any more and don't go behind those who have been expoliting us on the name of our condition.
laloo or for that reason any one who himself wants to fill his stomach, can't give anything to those who are hungry.

Change

There are now fast growing number of people who have NOT seen casteism (in bad sense) and other sceterian things during their upbringings. I have not seen my parents and my neighours practicing casteism (for whatever reasons). Naturally I will not accept/commit any kind of injustice. I have seen parents easily accepting inter caste/religion marriage of their children.

And I believe these type of people will dominate in numbers and influence in coming future. Let us encourage these people.

I strongly feel that politicians are to exploit all weaknesses of society for their power game.

Laloo's fall

CPM-ML and MCC are filling in for promises Laloo could not keep. He started strongly giving voice to the downtrodden. Rise of Ranbir sena is indicative of this success. Earlier police used to carry out Ranbir sena's task. So far so good.

But unfortunately the process of empowerment faltered. Landless still didn't get justice. There is not a single Ranbir sena criminal charged but there are scores of Naxalites in death row. Naxalites are killed in encountered every day but not the landed criminals. Ranbir sena's chief should have died in encounter. Looking at current state of judiciary, he is not likely to get convicted and before long he will get bail.

AAP BJP ko jo chahe kah len

par ye nakara party to nahin hai. has shown how well it can provide economic development, besides this this party never worked against indian national movement...

communist ideology is never going to fly u are free to dream big though..nothing is gona come out of this..

Yes stop showing illiterate leaders as if it's sthg to be proud of.. I saw in that article they are articulating their lack of education as if it's some badge of honour.. it's not forst step towards removing poverty is stop putting the poverty on pedestal...

Those illiterates even if they somehow manage to come to power won't be able to do anything..

Problem with communists is their over fascination with equal distribution of wealth which is against human instinct.. And yeah they start the wealth distributiuon much before there is any wealth creation to talk about...

In the long run communist can provide a russian and that's nto good enough for the majority ofthe population of the world..

raah-e-ishq mein aana jaana nahi bhoole
woh inqalab ka nara, woh fasana nahi bhoole

hai dushman bada, taaqat badi, jang badi
aadat purani hai, hum kaam aana nahi bhoole

aashiyan lutta hai hamara har bahar mein
hum phir bhi khwabon ko sajana nahi bhoole

bas neend se jaagne ki deri hai warna
apne armaanon ko hum jagana nahi bhoole

hai aaj bhi wahi khoon taaza ragon mein
hum bhagat-o-bismil ka zamana nahi bhoole

hum phir bhi khuda pe muskurana nahi bhoole

zameen se magar apna dostana nahi bhoole
