Repeat Posting for Rajesh

I have few questions for Rajesh. I hope to hear from him.

(1) Who is supposed to check crimes in Bihar? Law and Order? Robbery?

(2) Who is supposed to check kidnappings in Bihar?

(3) Who is supposed to maintain proper roads in Bihar?

(4) Who is supposed to make sure that governments schools actually open every working day and not only on salary day?

(5) Who is supposed to ensure uninterrupted power supply to all residents of Bihar?

Please give me honest answers. Who should take responsibility for these five items? Certainly not Govt of Andhra or Govt of WB. Someone from state of Bihar must take the responsibility. WHO?

Saffronization of Education correct Answer

Marks he got = 0

Correct answer - Supporting RSS (Rumour Spreading System) is secularism and Killing Haren Pandya is casue to secularism. Helping British in "Quit India Movement" is nationalism. Rest are communalism or pseudo-secularism

Saffronization of education

15 year old students of Central Board of Secondary Education's (CBSE) Class X Social Sciences' examination were stumped when a question carrying six marks -- "What is communalism? Explain the causes for the rise of communalism in India" -- stared at them in the face.
They were puzzed because it was never discussed in their classes and only 4 lines are there in their text book.

But fortunately, Laloo came to their rescue for some. They wrote communalism is opposing Sri Laloo Prasad Yadav in election. Godhra is rise of communalism, whereas Bhagalpur and Sikh roit is rise of secularism.

Naxalism

What surprises me that even 15 year rule of a dowtrodden Laloo could not generate faith of underprivilleged and downtrodden in democratic process (by assumption that naxalism is very high in Bihar). Beyond doubt, Laloo is a fraud. He deceived his own people.

This proves beyond doubt that the symbolic approach of having CM , Governor, President belonging to downtrodden community is not enough. We have to move beyond this.

Thank God, that due to urban dynamics and other factors, a large number of people don't get to see the bad aspect of casteism (they only read in newspapers/books). I never saw my parents practising casteism of hate (whatever be the reason) and I know there are very large number of such people.

My hope is alive.

Jai Bihar.

Naxal , a farce in Bihar

Rajeshjee and othr esteemed friends,
As one contributor to this forum pointed sometime back, Naxals in Bihar have nothing to do with the extreme left Philosophy--They are caste and criminal groups sponsored by Politicians. They are not fighters in any way. These nasty elements in Andhra and Bihar have ISI and Dawood links as well. Yes they have till date , not punished a single corrupt officer/ engineer in Gaya/Jehanabad /Chatra, rather they take benefits from them in the pure criminal style. They have stalled the progress of Jharkhand at the directive of boss in Patna.---Showing 10 year old photos on TV of PWG recruits(boys and girls) in Andhra forests is only a media masala.

Prabhat, your answer - correction

What happens if MLA/MPs rob you and judiciary turns back on you?

Answer - Priviledged ones like you and me leave state for greener pastor. Unpriviledged and downtroddens find place in naxalism (they are the brave ones who stay back and fight).

Again, you are looking for instant solution to the huge problem. "Rome was not built in a day" fits here.

Sajjad Saheb

I read you postings and agree to it for most of the parts. But when our public life is being dictated by politicians to a very large extent, I urgently feel a need to make a pressure group. Even if a politician has good intention, his hands are tied. Whoever forms a govt. in Bihar, he will have to depend heavily on criminal elements/MLAs for survival. Similarly upright officers have to work under tremendous pressure.

Place like Bangalore and Mumbai have many non-political civil rights group to put pressure on govt.
Election commission has suggested many reforms in election process to keep crminals away from politics but no surprise that current lot of politicians are not interested to any kind of political reforms.

Bihar does NOT have any functional civil rights group, because it's educated class largely away from Bihar.

Hope the start of development process (if any) will slowly change this.

Jai Bihar

Challenges before Paswan

It appears from the news reports that Paswan is finding it extremely difficult to withstand the pressure from his own MLAs. While few are being wooed to go with Laloo, many are inclined to take an outside support of the BJP.
In my little understanding of the things, both way Paswan will not only be the loser, he will also strengthen Laloo, both in short as well as long term.
Laloo is shrewd enough to stick to power and consolidate his hold. But his wisdom has got magnified with confidence of power, once he is unseated properly things will fall in place.
My understanding is that Paswan will be a big gainer in the next mid term (or scheduled)polls for the Bihar Assembly.
Paswan has to undertake a major stocktaking in terms of electoral arithmetics of castes.Laloo's major stronghold is in the Lower backward castes(excluding Yadav, koeri, kurmi, bania). Paswan has to make inroads there. His LJP does not have even a single Muslim MLA. This is also a big challenge before him.He will have to proactively articulate the issues of Muslim concern like recruitments of Urdu teachers/translators. He will have to come out with a properly detailed work out on the data brought by the ADRI but shelved by the Bihar Minority Commission. He will have to go for a massive mobilization along these lines.
He has to work hard, with extraordinary consistency, to keep his base intact not only in those constituencies where he has won, but also in those constituencies where he has finished second. If he can manage this way, his prospects in Bihar is bright, otherwise doomed. He will have to develop an even more organic relationship with the CPI-ML, the only Party with genuine concern for Dalit emancipation.
Meanwhile he should start spelling out the packages for the economic development of Bihar.More particularly on methodologies of the development, his priority areas etc.e.g. How would he increase the production of electricity(I know he can't do much to contain criminalization)? How would he manage the money to pay the salaris of the existing employees and more particulalrly of the employees to be inducted, as unemployment problem is acute?
Will he do these things? Lets see.But the people like us should continue to talk on these lines. We should do our bit.

Rajesh -democracy lessons

3 pillars of democracy

1)Representatives of people (legislative) - MAKEER of law and policy for people.

2)Executive - implement the law and policy (made at 1)

3)Judicary - protect the Law. (made at 1)

But you think that

Representative of people = Maker + Breaker of law and policy.

Rajesh

1) If MP/MLA does crime with you, you will go to Naxals. And if Naxals does crime against you then you will go to USA/Singapore. Right..?

2) Suppose you retire from govt. job and you are not getting pension and Supreme Court interperates Law and then Order the govt. to give you the dues. And if govt. does NOT pay attention then you will go to again naxals. Right. As per you Judge must not give orders to poilce to arrest erring govt. official. Judge should only interperate law.
Please, if you find time to read IPC (Indian Penal Code) and Cr.PC (criminal penal code), please read them then only you will understand the lie of Laloo that judges are biased.

3) MP/MLA should do all crimes and they should go to people's court every 5 years. No other courts. Let us close high courts and supreme courts.

Prabhat, your answer

I am not sure if I understood your question..
Point I want to convey is that a person should focus on his/her own job. We are all educated here and understand what role and responsibilities mean. If you put finger in someone else's job then you better ready to bear responsibility if thing turn bad.
Law and order is clearly elected government's job. There is absolutely no ambiguity on this. Judiciary's job is to inteprete law, and that's it. So called activist judges don't understand these basics. Moreover, if they assume role of prosecuter on top of judicial role, how can they ensure impartiality toward defendents? They directly give order to the police. Are they prepared to accept responsibility if things turn bad? Problem with judiciary is that they have no accountably. Elected governments at least go back to people every 5 years.

Now coming back to your question (what happen if MP/MLAs rob you?) Well, this is extreme situation and there is no clear answer or solution to this. I see one consequence of this, which is again not very pleasant. It gave rise to naxalism.

Rajesh - 1 question

Rajesh, you keep talking about people representative and you strongly feel that there MUST not be any interference in their activities.

- If the MP/MLA of your area comes to your house and he does crimes of rape/murder/loot against your family members then will you accept it that the MP/MLA represented people's will ?????????

Pls. answer my question. You need few lessons in democracy.

meaning of neutral

call a spade a spade whether it is BJP/Congress/RJD.
