State of the Yankees

It is tough to watch. I guess they are what happened to the 65 Yanks. 64 they lost the series & everyone gt old overnight. If you think Steinbrenner listened to Cash & Torre we would be seeing an outfield of Matsui, Beltran & Guerro!

We Stink

I am a diehard Yankee fan and find it VERY HARD to root for a team that can't even compete at the level of teams with payrolls 1/5 if theirs. They are a disgrace to the city of NY. We have a hall of fame team of guys, who in their prime were incredible. If our whole lineup was them in their prime we would win 130 games EASY!!! Not the case. Get rid of Pavano, Mussina, Posada and Giambi and Oh my lord why are we paying Quantrill 3 million?? He is horrible. We should of got Beltran and Pedro and we would be in first place right now. Randy was not the answer.

Clean House

Rambling thoughts.

They need to get rid of Posada and get a catcher who can call a game. Why is it that heralded pitchers come to the Yankees and end up just floating above .500? His offense isn't worth the frustration of his pitch calling.

Get rid of Giambi, get rid of Womack - and unload Moose (who's good to an 11 run game in the playoffs) for Soriano.

I'd say get rid of Mo, but Torre is using him more wisely. Though we should try to stack up on middle relief to soften the burden on Gordon, who's lightening the load on Mo.

I'd say get rid of Mattingly, but I'm a lifelong fan. If these troubles continue though, we should ask him to go down to Columbus- he did wonders for Cairo, Bubba Crosy (for a bit), and Cano is developing. We could stack up on the farm as we used to. Not his fault - it's tough to coach egos.

Maybe we'll be fine, but the fact that we're undisciplined at the plate and don't think on the mound is cause for concern.
