The Pats officially became a dynasty when Rodney Harrison picked off Donovan McNabb on the next-to-last play of the game, clinching New England's 24-21 win over Philadelphia in Super Bowl XXXIX! I think it is Mcnabbs fault, to many interceptions. |
| Posted By: Serlady Posted On: Feb 7, 2005 Views: 654 | Superbowl Theory i have a theory, partially unformed tho it may be... the patriots, with their ultrapatriotic colors and banners and flags and whatnot, have an unfair advantage. people who normally would not go to/cheer for a football game might be inclined to go and cheer for a team with colors that all of America can identify with. it makes any stadium into a home field advantage situation- especially since 9/11, all the americafantabulousness going on, and no one able to say a thing derogatory in the slightest towards america without someone crying "traitor!!". who is going to admit, in this day and age, that they do not root for the patriots?? come on! eventually, in a '1984'-esque way, they could become the only team. root for the patriots or we'll turn you into soylent green. |
