computers+superbowl=no sense

superbowls and their half time shows have gotten increasingly worse as the years have passed. i believe its time to put a stop to the superbowl. whos against me, oh wait, never mind.

I rather enjoyed the Paul McCartney half-time show and thought the video screens were cool. It was tasteful and I think they were redeeming themselves from the last couple of years. I remember my mom and her friends wondering if Gwen Stefani was really a girl or a guy in drag a couple of years ago...

I go to 3-4 college football games a year (Go Cardinal!). The halftime show at Stanford is amateurish, mildly entertaining at best, and sometimes controversial. Regardless of what it may be, it is never the draw to the game. We go for the sake of the game, which occasional is well played and exciting.

I’ve lost much of my interest in watching pro football because of the glam and marketing that has ruined the superbowl now occurs with every game. I will still watch because occasionally you’ll see something remarkable (remember all those come from behind wins on Monday football three years ago?).

Oh yeah… tailgating at college games is way better as compared to pro games.

I like to go to the local high school games to socialize and watch about 1% of the game, and I sometimes volunteer in the concession stand. I go to almost every college game here and watch 100% of the game, and barely talk to my dad during the game. I also remember that my dad is plunking down over a grand for the season, too. I never watch pro ball on television. It is just not the same to me!

You don't think college athletes get paid?

Not to mention the many scandals that surface every year about players accepting gifts from agents.

Yeah, college athletes NEVER get paid.

thats not what i mean...there not getting millions
and that doesnt happen with the unheard of college basketball teams that i usually go and see...they are still great players...all of them, and its still more enjoyable to watch...
the NBA is the same thing all the time, until a fight breaks out like it did :)
