| Posted By: GirlUWant Posted On: Feb 22, 2005 Views: 801 | Date Update Since you guys were kind enough to give me advice last week on my date with the younger man, I thought I would let you know how it went! It didn't go so well, but it didn't have anything to do with the age gap, or at least I don't think it did! Some of the things that were mentioned did happen like for instance: on the list of karaoke sons was the theme song from Banana Splits, I laughed and pointed it out, he didn't know what I was talking about...also he drank way way too much (my brother warned me and I should have listened) and when he started getting pretty sloshed I said to him "Wow, you're getting comfortably numb" and he was like, What? He was very cute, very sweet, funny and it was going okay until he got very drunk. We talked about what he does and it seems like his life consists of work, drinking and hanging out at quite a few bars, and sleeping, which is actually pretty sad. I was also very nervous and chatted non-stop which I think got on his nerves, but I just couldn't stop! Anyway, thanks for the advice! |

I guess some points of interest, like pop culture would elude him due to the age factor. I guess showing him your 'vinyl' collection would be something really 'Old school' for him LOL. I guess he didn't expect to make too good of an impression if getting wasted was on his 'to do' list. Hope he wasn't driving. Still, I am a sticking to my story and saying, younger men are ok. I guess that one may need to grow up a tad. |

Although, I would never get blasted on a first date. It doesn't make for a great impression. So how old would be too old for your daughter? You said this guy was right between your ages, what if he was going for her instead of you? |
