You probably didn't get mentioned because you have been busy this week traveling all over Hawaii, you lucky dog! Do you ever go to Kauai? That is where I would love to go! It looks so beautiful in all the pictures I have seen of it, and yet, so different from Oahu. Isn't that weird?

I used to go to Kauai about twice a year. You're right, it's absolutely beautiful.
The windward side of Kauai is one of the wettest places on earth so the jungles and waterfalls are spectacular.
Also, Kauai is the oldest major island in the chain so it's had a few million more years of erosion, plant life, soil formation, etc than Oahu.
Kauai used to be my favorite island but now it's a tie between Kauai and Lanai.
If you ever get a chance to go to Kauai, take a helicopter tour of the Na Pali coast. It will take your breath away.
