I always liked the song Help! but didn't know it was them until I was about 20 years-old. I do totally remember Paul McCartney and Wings. They were awesome in the mid-seventies. I probably didn't even know about his former band at that time. I was in grade school and then middle school. Live and Let Die, that is a great song! Silly Love songs was #1 for five weeks in 1976 and was #13 for the 1970-1979 era. (I believe that Stairway to Heaven was #1 for the era,duh, like Casey Kasem would have been shot for anything less than it being first!) Maybe I'm Amazed is a great song. Sorry, I beg to differ...that stuff was not shit! |

I was not a Beatles fan, and my parents weren't so they never talked about them! I knew who Dean Martin, Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell, Boots Randolph, Charlie Rich, Charlie Pride, and those kind of guys were, because as a very young child, that is what MY parental units listened to. They weren't are aren't rockers! My dad listens to Country (YUK!) and my mom likes easy-listening! She was pretty cool about my music, but she wouldn't let me purchase Hotel California by the Eagles because she thought that song was about Devil Worshipping and she didn't like Blinded by the Light because she was convinced that it had the word douche in it! LOL! |
