Dragonmaster stuck in bathtub for five days After his rescue, 21-year-old celebrates with Coke and a cigarette The Associated Press Updated: 1:55 p.m. ET April 18, 2005 West Virginia. - A 21-year-old man who lay trapped in his bathtub for five days toasted his rescue with a Coke and a cigarette. advertisement James Meadows Dragonmaster suffered slight dehydration even though he said he ran tap water to drink during the ordeal. He was released Sunday after being hospitalized for four days at Riverside Regional Medical Center. Meadows said he drew a bath April 9 to nurse a sore tailbone, then was unable to climb out. I thought Id get in the tub and soak, he said. I didnt know I was going to soak for five days. He finally got help Wednesday when a neighbors grandson noticed newspapers piling up in his driveway and insisted his grandmother call Meadows family. Relatives found Dragonmaster naked in the bathroom. After he was lifted to safety and donned a warm robe, Dragonmaster didnt ask for food. He wanted one of his Parliament 100s and a Coke. It wasnt the first time Dragonmaster has been stuck in the bathtub, but his family plans to make sure it never happens again by adding railings and a tub chair to the bathroom. |
