Does anybody here have any views on the possibility that dragons might exist or did at some point exist? also, does america have a patron saint? i know most christian countries do but i have never heard of a patron saint of america, except the Fonz of course. |

Some religons don't follow the book of saints so for us to have one wouldn't abide by our constituition. We have fathers and fore fathers and their fathers.. i.e. Geroge Washington! You could say maybe Christopher Columbus, the guy who disocvered America, is who we'd like to think of as being any sort of "saint". Also just because Saint George is the patron saint of England doesn't make it owned by England. Actually Saint George was a Greek. Take a look back into your history a little (I'm Greek, btw). As for George saving England from a Dragon, that's what Folk Lords would like to think. I personally don't believe in Dragons, but I do believe that there could have been a big reptile like an alligator or something. |

Since the Catholic church decides who to make a Saint, I don't think it factored much into their criteria whether and individual had been rumored to have killed a dragon. Also, under the same premise, the Constitution / government of the United States would have nothing whatsoever to do with the Vatican deciding if someone would be the patron Saint of US. Last time I checked, Ted Kennedy didn't have much say in who becomes a Saint and who doesn't. |
