I think the most well known is called the Holden Monaro but is sold as a Pontiac GTO or something in the states, funny think is the Monaro was an after-hours project by the guys at Holdens design shop and it ended up being put into production because when it was shown at a car show everybody wanted one!! I got a call about a job yesterday, they are calling back in 2 weeks when I've had my break. And as for the good news I was expecting I am having to wait for that.....(trying to be patient for a change). And can someone tell me why Bob Dole is so interested in telling everyone that he is such a big earner? Its a bit like that SPS problem (Small Pen1s Syndrome) where the bigger your car (or pay-packet) is the smaller your pee-pee is!... |
| Posted By: GirlUWant Posted On: May 4, 2005 Views: 356 | RE: Unemployment Bob was more of a regular poster a few months back and then it when wild and there were like all kinds of Bob Dole mockers, so I don't blame him for chilling for awhile, it was probably back in November or so, around the election, I think... Anyway, I don't see it as him bragging. I have seen him be very encouraging to James in the past that he can do more with his life than just accept a low-paying job working at a restaurant or whatever and go back to school and finish it and make something out of his life. I see his attitude more of an eye-opening mentor. Yes, there is some sarcasim, but I think he is just a true Republican, which has more of an attitude of quit whining about how bad you have it, say screw you to poverty and go somewhere. I think he gets a bad rap for being kind of a dick, funny/sarcastic, yes, gives James crap for spelling, etc... like a lot of us do... I think he was just pointing out that there is a lot more money out there to be made...not just for him, but for anyone... |

I once even found a good job listing on Monster for an entry level sales job in Beckley, WV for DM. He complained that there were no good jobs where he lives. It was $25K plus commission. It required no real job skills and no degree, and was actually attainable for DM. He said it was a BS job because it paid commission, neglecting to realize that the base salary was already more than he makes now! What a complete fool. Also he said some crap about he didn't want to have to deal with selling stuff to people. People like DM are complacent. Adam is in a similar situation. Some people would prefer to make less money if it means they don't have to do much and have no responsibility. In my job, I often have to meet with clients and recently have started to give presentations. I welcome the responsibility and see it as an opportunity to excel. I would find it difficult to be satisfied with myself because I sure mixed that guys ice coffee really well. |
