| Posted By: kerriert Posted On: May 12, 2005 Views: 681 | certain foods scare me Some that I can't even stand to look at and have been this way all my life: Mayo cooked peas mashed potatoes and all German "deli meats" which I think is all based on a dare...come Blood Sausage and Head Cheese that resembles meat Jello ICK!!! Pig Ear Sandwiches It sucked growing up in a German family where G-pa was a retired butcher. Need I remind my family daily that we are in America now and do not need to save every part of the animal and eat it? Plus I do not need to know how things are made. Anyone else? |

Hardest part about my heratage was eating haggis (spelling as always) I only eat chicken, beef, or fish. No bottom feeders, lamb, rabbit, ect. Chef school was kinda hard just for that reason. I did try the veg. diet. No go. I just cant put away my grill. Is that a guy thing? I hope this redneck stuff isn't going to rub off on me anymore than it already has. (shudders) Have to go, work called me in at 3 today. Yay, a three to seven. I havent worked hours like that since I'd voluntered with Chef Michell at that Daniels Vinyard wedding. Just keep telling myself, good paydays, good paydays. And I don't have to worry about having a life, don't have one since I don't get to see Beth as much. |
