I nearly fell off my computer chair when I saw her reply. I only mentioned the sadness of Demott's passing and how much I enjoyed the show. Nice of her to write me back. The show is brilliant though I wish there had been more Bishop Brennan in it as I always found the chemistry between all the actors to be at its most explosive whenever the bishop was there. Classic: (After Ted feigns using the toilet in bishop Brennan's guest room)...Bishop Brennan looking perturbed: "There;s no toilet in here." Then looks around the room for where Father Ted might have peed. Spot on!! |

Why? to explain his kind of humor. I thought I understand the his humor after a few pints but after watching those series as a dutch foreigner you gonna understand it quicker then you expect it. I had so many good times and fun with him when I saw Father Ted. Can you imagine sitting in a car and suddenly you started screaming brick ....yes....! Noone could understand that moment and then we couldn't stop laughing anymore. When we were with other dutch colleagues they thought we smoked some $#$%#$%. We didn't. We didn't smoek and drink we only had weird humor comparing the dutchies! Now we bought are married and have children. But our humor remains. Good time Graham! I saw your comment in this box. Infact, if you were to meet him, you'd think he was a right self centred Fecker. But that is just another reason why the whole series was so funny. Alan partridge? Pah. I would say better than Blackadder, Red Dwarf or The Young Ones, and those shows wrote the book on sitcoms. |
