father Ted

Best comedy Ever up there along side Peep show and I,m alan Partridge. dougal is the best character as his consistant stupidity could last for hours and never stop being funny. Fact.

Fr Noel Furlong

he is by far the best character. who remembers the singing in the caves, and Irish dancing in the caravan. What about when he talks about eating Tony. he is the funniest by far!

Father Ted Down Under

G'day, I'm from Melbourne, Australia where the brilliant Father Ted series has been shown on re-runs for many years now and no-one gets tired of watching them, I can assure you!

The screenwriting is pure genius. Graham Linehan and Arthur Mathews are to be congratulated as without their creative flair - Father Ted as we know it, may not have ever come into fruition!

So from one fan to another - all the actors involved added their own spark and depth to each character, thus, making Father Ted one of the most loved comedy series of our time. Well done to all (R.I.P. D.M) and who knows, perhaps another Linehan/Mathews collaboration is not too far away!

the island

Sorry to bore ye but I actually come from the island that Father Ted is based on. Its called Inis Oirr and its the smallest of the Aran Islands. The shipwreck you see at the beginning of each episode is called the Plassey. What a great programme.

Father Ted

Hi, I moved from the USA to London 4 years ago. It is a massive change of cultures, and you learn something new every day. Especially TV is different. I now hate American TV, because the first TV show I watched out here was Father Ted. I own every episode, and met one extra. I love Father Ted, and even know every line to every episode! Thank you to the makers and actors, your all brilliant!
