Bohoemian Rhapsody

Yeah...once my whole Art History class at Uni chimed in to sing Bohoemian Rhapsody when someones phone rang with the "Mama Mia Figaro" part.

Lot of fun...
Professor had to chime in too hehe yayyyy

Is it just me...or in one of the parts it sounds like theyre saying: "Miss Miller, no we will not let him go...let me go! Miss Miller, we will not let you go...(etc etc)."

I'm weird and I know it!

RE: Bohoemian Rhapsody

Don't feel bad...for at least a decade I thought the Steve Miller Band song Keep on a Rockin' Me Baby said "I went from Phoenix, Arizona and the way to Chacoma. I thought that until I moved to Tacoma, Washington!

I actually get rap lyrics messed up a lot, because you just can't understand them! LOL

RE: Bohoemian Rhapsody

One songs lyrics that has always confused me is Blinded by the Light by Manfred Mann. The lyrics are 'Blinded by the light, Wrapped up like a deuce, Another runner in the night' but sound nothing like it.

Apologies to anyone not old enough to remember this and also to anyone who is!.

RE: Bohoemian Rhapsody

I went from Phoenix, Arizona, all the way to Tacoma
Philadelphia, Atlanta, L.A.
Northern California, where the girls are warm
So I could be with my sweet baby, yeah

See, he never leaves the country. Is there really a Chacoma in Bolivia? Never heard of it if there is!

I see a little silhouetto of a man,
Scaramouche, scaramouche will you do the fandango-
Thunderbolt and lightning-very very frightening me-
Galileo,galileo,
Galileo galileo
Galileo figaro-magnifico-
But I’m just a poor boy and nobody loves me-
He’s just a poor boy from a poor family-
Spare him his life from this monstrosity-
Easy come easy go-,will you let me go-
Bismillah! no-,we will not let you go-let him go-
Bismillah! we will not let you go-let him go
Bismillah! we will not let you go-let me go
Will not let you go-let me go
Will not let you go let me go
No,no,no,no,no,no,no-
Mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go-
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me,for me,for me-

I'm afraid that I'm not sure of, a love there is no cure for!...also 24 hours a day, girl, that's just the way I planned it, it could you girl, it could be me girl, 24 hours a day!

I had the Partridge Family Album album! I was totally in love with Keith Partridge...David Cassidy had the best hair and smile, ever!!!

RE: Bohoemian Rhapsody

I remember the song from when I was a kid (I think we had the single). But one of the national TV stations are using I think I Love You on their promo's.

Its funny, at the moment so many songs seem to have a relevance to my situation - you know what I mean GUW.

Your body is a wonderland!!!!! WOW. A certain friend of mine brought up that song the other day so I listened to it...how spooky is that - is that a John Mayer song?

We are getting super ga-ga with the romantic music.

RE: Bohoemian Rhapsody

Bismillah is a bohemian word meaning "absolutely not" so it just reinforces the english words in the lyric.

ALSO Reference "Blinded by the Light". It's "Revved up like a Deuce" as in an engine all revved up (little deuce coupe. etc.)

Hope that helps.

Karl

RE: Bohoemian Rhapsody

A friend of mine had to do a research project on the lyrics to Bohemian Rhapsody, it's actually a really depressing song when you hold it under the microscope.
