I'm not too worried about the Yankees just yet especially because they do have a lot of slow starters and June is historically when they get on the good side of a streak. |

Even if they manage to put together a decent streak or two after the break, they are still in a very tough division with the Orioles, Red Sox and Blue Jays. Plus Steinbrenner in his infinate wisdom never planned for the future. They only have one pitcher who is under the age of 35. Johnson, Mussina are on the back sides of their career, and Pavano was a one year wonder. And how long do you think Sheffield is going to keep playing? All you have left is A-Rod and Jeter. Sorry but face facts Steinbrenner wanted to buy a series and it worked for a little while but there is no future for them past this year. And I think when they are beaten out by the Orioles and Red Sox this year Stienbrenner is going to start crying like a little girl, and I wouldn't put it past him to fire Torre. 7) Fans live in the past |
