| Posted By: zenk232 Posted On: Apr 22, 2008 Views: 248 | Bandwidth Exceded When I tried to download a few papermodels, mostly the last 3 zelda models, it said that the bandwidth was exceeded, please try again later. What does that mean, and how do you fix it, can you fix it? Also besides that problem your website's awsome, keep working on it. GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| Posted By: ninjatoes Posted On: Apr 23, 2008 Views: 247 | RE: Bandwidth Exceded Are you sure? I'll explain why I'm asking. ;o) Some of my models are hosted on my own webspace. You should never have problems downlaoding those: they are direct links (to either a PDF-file or a ZIP-file) and they don't have a "RapidShare mirror" (because they will always be available). Some models however are hosted on an external host. Every 30 days, I get 5 GB of bandwidth, so if all people combined download more than 5 GB total, the downloads which rely on that host become unavailable. As a second option for when this happens, I added "RapidShare mirrors" for those downloads: meaning you can still download the same files using a different method. When you click a RapidShare link, you will be taken to a new webpage. Scroll all the way down, and click the grey button labeled "Free". A new page will laod, and you'll be given a download code that you will need to input (to verify you are a human being and not a download bot ;o). After that, you can download the file. If you download a lot of stuff from RapidShare, you might have to wait a while in between downloads. BUT: I just checked, and I'm only at 3.9 GB of the 5 GB bandwidth limit. So you should not be getting the message "bandwidth exceeded", you should just be able to download the file. Because I don't really understand why you're getring that message, I can't offer you a solution I'm afraid. Other than to download the files using RapidShare of course. In 25 days the bandwidth usage will reset to 0 again, so maybe next month you can check if you still get the message. In the mean time, use the RapidShare mirrors. ;o) I hope this helps, have fun building! greetz ninjatoes |

| Posted By: ninjatoes Posted On: Jul 21, 2008 Views: 162 | RE: RE: Bandwidth Exceded That's again very strange... Because again: the bandwidth limit has not yet been exceeded for this month, so you should be able to download the files without problem. It will reset again in 26 days, but it's only at 3.0 GB of the 5.0 GB limit so you should not be getting the bandwidth exceeded message? Have you visited my site before at a time when the bandwidth limit *was* exceeded? Did you try removing all your temporary internet files, reloading my website and trying again? Maybe your browser keeps providing you with old info? It's the only thing I can think of, it seems to be working properly on this end. Other than that, you will have to use the RapidShare mirrors. They got rid of the code system, now there's only a short waiting period. I hope this helps and that you'll be able to get the files you wanted! greetz ninjatoes |
