Does anyone miss DM?

I must say, the entertainment offered by Dragonfag in this forum was priceless. How he tried to tell us that himself and Black Cabbage were different people even though they had everything in common. How he pretended to be everyone and thought it was cool to make up alter egos online. How he got mad at corporations cause they can pay him $6/hr and he has to take it cause he's useless. It always kinda made me feel a little bit good about myself because as bad as anything in my life ever got I could always say, damn, at least I'm not that dragon kid from West Virginia.

RE: Does anyone miss DM?

well, Dole, you probably have some sort of sympathetic affection towards him as someone would have towards a down syndrome kid who slipped into a pond...

RE: Does anyone miss DM?

not to be mean, but i don't miss him. he brought a lot of depressing/attention getting/wayyy too much info about his life onto boards that are supposed to be lighthearted, at least i think so. i mean, oddtodd's site is for fun and for laughs, for the most part. so, him venting stuff here and all was just kind of creepy and awkward. i do feel sorry for him, and for all people that have troubles in their lives, but i wish he brought such burdens to a more appropriate forum.

I actually never read through most of his posts anyway - just the responses.

I'm glad to see the outpouring of support against him.

It's not that I feel bad for him, don't get me wrong, I don't. If a retarded kid fell into a pond, I'd laugh my ass off, but I'd also save the poor kid from downing.

Too bad he's not here for my amusement anymore. I just wondered if anyone else felt the same way.

I don't like the guy because he is a liar and not little tiny lies but jumbo sized Bill Clinton type lies. He isn't gone though. He is just posting as James but he is still been telling stories like last week he said he can't smell but he can taste stuff even though that is impossible. Then he said his tongue learned how to smell. Only DM can make **** like that up and try to pass it off.

RE: Does anyone miss DM?

i never understood why you guys think if you have a problem with your nose, that you would not be able to taste either
its not the sensory part of his brain thats messed up, its his nose...as he said he has a face full of metals

that is, of course, if its true

yeah he still stops by here and lets us all know how hes doing because heaven forbid we go more than one week without knowing about his personal life...or any part of his life

What the hell, adam, are you becoming adammaster?

I thought this stuff was taught in the first week of biology. James said that parts of his brain were eaten by the cancer and he lost all ability to smell. I could explain why he couldn't taste and could never be a cook but this website does it better.

http://www.myhealthsense.com/F010508_stoppingSmell.html

It shows he is full of crap and too stupid/lazy to even check his lies.

RE: Does anyone miss DM?

here's a question: if you lost a sense every five years, what order would you want to lose them in?

RE: Does anyone miss DM?

**** joe, who's making **** up now.

"Then he said his tongue learned how to smell"

I never said that.

"James said that parts of his brain were eaten by the cancer and he lost all ability to smell"

Never said that parts of my brain were eaten by the cancer either, my "smellers" are still there, but scar tissue from the tumor is blocking the nerves, surgery can fix them. Just cant afford something like that.

Taken from his link\

"When you chew," Bartoshuk said, tiny puffs of air containing odor molecules "drift up the backward route to the nose. You are not truly aware that this is olfaction: It's what most people mistakenly call taste."

But, in fact, there are only five true tastes - sweet, salty, sour, bitter and umani, a Japanese term for a savory, delicious taste. All the other subtle flavors that we can detect are combinations of these basic tastes plus the sense of smell.

(so I can get sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and umani. I can taste. These things mix to get slighty more complex flavors. So by your own evidence you ****ed yourself, but wait, there is more)

nasal polyps, benign growths that can cause nasal swelling that blocks odor perception.

(so there is something close to what my problem is, scar tissue blocking those nerves)
