Today a local company donated the use of one of their semis and partnered with the Boy Scouts and were taking donations in the parking lot of a grocery store. When I went to the university football game on Saturday, there were many college students from one of the organizations on campus that were taking donations for Hurricane Katrina. Our pastor's sermon mentioned what our denomination was doing. Our denomination has a chuch camp that has been offered to house people in Guthrie, and our denomination will probably help in a habitat for humanity type of way, like send groups of people to help tear down or build. They do that already in Mexico and stuff. I found it very interesting to see that other countries are sending us help...the big Super Power...it just seems weird for a change! I wonder if Canada is helping? LOL Peru wants to send doctors...that seems so strange, like are their credentials okay to practice in the US??? I think I will freak if I see a Misquito for awhile now... |

Where did you hear about other countries sending us aid? I was wondering if those countries that we give so much money to if they need help would help us in this time of need. |

I heard about it on MSNBC...they even showed a clip of the news reporter with her very European accent news story from whatever country it was. I was trying to figure out where she was from, guessing England. Hey...did your sister behave this weekend? LOL I ran around at the game so much because I sat with my cousin's step-daughter and 14 year-olds can't sit still very long! |
