I would love to see all celebrities... the ultra rich like Streisand and Springstein and other Bush bashers ... give up say 1/2 of their homes and/or money to help the poor suffering Katrina victims. Please, no more wasted TV time with these creeps singing their songs and asking us to pledge hard earned money (or... those who are retired and living on a small fixed pension like myself). I feel total disbelief that people who are good actors are paid disproportionaly more than good doctors or good teachers. No wonder this country is falling apart! Same with the Iraq war. Let the celebrities head over there and teach the Iraqis not to hate us. Spend some time and money teaching the youth. Spend some time and money helping the Iraqis to rebuild. Our country is torn apart by the liberal left ... most of whom are celebrities. And the Katrina disaster is just one more opportunity for the liberals to try to destroy our country. The Katrina disaster is Bush's fault? Are you guys NUTS? BTW, I never said that I enjoyed the fact that people were drowning in Louisiana. But, you've got some really weird posters here... I think only that the blame should be squarely placed on the government of LA. |

First off, to say the liberal left (which is redundant in the first place) has torn apart this country is just ignorant. If you actually look at the facts on the Bush adminstration, you'll see that their incompetence and willingness to lie shines through again and again. I don't really care if celebrities want to say what they want to say, but somehow I don't think it's wrong to point out that we've gone to war under false pretenses that were very shaky to begin with. Not only that, but we have no exit plan whatsoever. The Bush adminstration made it seem like we would be in and out in less than a year, and now we'll be lucky if it's any better after a decade. As for Hurricane Katrina, no one's blaming the administration for the Hurricane, simply for the disastrous response to it. It was public knowledge that this was going to be a huge storm, and FEMA was actually turning back aid from companies, groups, and associations that were ready! And Bush is the one that put Mike Brown, a man with no natural disaster experience who was the president of the Arabian Horse Association before this, in charge of FEMA in the first place. Not only that, but the head of Homeland Security has actually gone on national television and said they didn't know about the people at the convention center until two days after it had been national news! To put it simply, the administrations handling of the hurricane has been nothing short of a catastrophe, and now, rather than admitting to mistakes and doing better, they are simply defending themselves and still doing a horrible job. Celebrities can say whatever they want and you don't have to listen to them, and no one's blaming Bush for the Hurricane. But anyone who still says his adminstration is anything above incompetent and dangerous is either in denial or just can't see the facts. |
