Posted By: Graciela Denis Posted On: Nov 28, 2005 Views: 1191	La musica en Toronto Soy Cantante con 20 años de experiencia y pienso que a la musica de los hispanos en Toronto le falta desarollo porque no tenemos buenas instalaciones, porque todavia se baila con D-J, porque no hay vida nocturna y porque no se respeta al artista. Pienso que los artistas mismos no se dan el lugar que les corresponde por ejemplo, cantan con qualquier tipo de sonido, lo que va en detrimento de su interpretacion, no son acompañados por orquestas y utilizan pistas desastrozas para sus actuaciones lo mismo en restaurantes, discotecas o festivales. Es lamentable ver como algunos empresarios no se limitan en pagar buena cantidad de dinero a artistas extranjeros y a la hora de contratar algun talento nuestro incluyendo animicion de un buen MC para un espectaculo se ponen a regatear cuatro pesos. Cuando vamos a aprender a respetar el arte y hacer que lo respeten. La musica no ha muerto, nosotros la estamos matando poco a poco.

La reggaeton y bachata son muy populares ahora para los jovenes. Pienso que es muy importante para los ninos a saber mas de la cultura latina y como esta musica, es muy possible.

Posted By: Helen Posted On: Nov 1, 2005 Views: 888	Rosita I am a non hispanic who loves latin music. I check this website regularly and love the music, my favorite artistis Rosita Stone. I just saw her at Harbourfront for the Mexican Festival called The Day of the Dead and she did a breathtaking tribute to Armando Manzanero, who I know is Mexico's greatest Composer, she made people cry, laugh, remember their roots and it was powerful. This woman is mind blowing and deserves major success, and by seeing what she is doing I'm positive she will achieve it. She was stunning with Carlos Vives, I couldn't believe her voice and talent, I wish I could sing but I suck. Latin artists have that passion that is missing in so much music, keep it up people there are more non-latin people into you than you think. Peace
