Missing too much

I know there wasn't enough time to make the whole book, but they took out WAY too much. I wanted to see the ton-tongue toffee and the house elfes and the weasleys blasting apart the Dursley's living room, but they didn't have time to add it.

only one thing to say.

I only have one thing to say or not really say-- ah what ever, WHAT THE F*** IS HARRY DOING AT THE WEASLEY'S HOUSE at the begining? I really wanted to see, or not really see but hear the Weasleys stuck in a toped fire place.

G.O.F.

I think the movie itself was very good. They managed to even out everything important in a VERY limited time frame, the special effects were some of the best, sound was good, acting was good, I give it 4.5/5.

The movie compared to the book plot, however, was dreadful. While Krum did say very little in the book, he only said two lines in the movie: "This tent is for family and friends only", and "May I have a word?" He should've spoken more in my opinion. As for Fleur, SHE ONLY SAID ONE WORD THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE MOVIE!!! She said "You saved her!" Or at least, I think that's what she said. There were these huge gaping holes in the plot. Maybe those who have read the books understand everything that goes on and why it goes on, but those who are too lazy to read the books are probably totally lost. They'll probably be especially lost come the fifth book when Dobby warns the DA about Umbridge. 'How did he get there?' will be rampaging throught their minds... unless they replace Dobby with someone else then, too. >:P Also, they didn't put enough obstacles in the maze. And why the heck was Harry already with the Weasleys? I always really liked the scene where Mr. Weasley, Gred, Forge, and Ron pick Harry up. Especially the part where they're in the fireplace: "What are we doing here? Has something gone wrong?" "Oh no, Ron. This is exactly where we wanted to end up." "Yeah, we're having the time of our lives in here." rofl. And there was really too little of Malfoy in there. It would've been nice for them to at least put the last part in there at the end of the year where Malfoy is blabbing on about them being on the losing side and dying first because of it. It would've been a nice signal of the end of the Time Between Wars and the beginning of the Second War.

But that's all just my opinion. We're all entitled to our own opinions.

agree&opinion

hey Steph, I totally agree with what you said. teh movy I guess was entertaining. It just left out tooooooo much!
if i could talk about it to ms.rowling I would. Incase you don't know, she (i hear) sipervises what the director does to make sure that no one goes of topic or the meaning of the book, and, honestly, if she did supervise, i have no idea and am upset that she let them do what they did to such a good book & movy and if you have any more to say i would love to hear what you have to say.(This applies to everyone who reads this)

gof

ok so people have been saying that the movie sucked and that it should be kicked out of the theaters, but i disagree. true the movie didn't follow the book, but does any movie based off books really follow them? i thought the movie was great. i had been planning to see the movie when i first heard the release date for it. who cares if it didn't follow the books. i personally think that you shouldn't have watched the movies if you can't even finish the book. so screw all those haters out there!! THE MOVIE ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disappointed.

I hated it, what happened to the wand being stolen? Why weren't the trio in the top box for the match? Why didn't we SEE the match? Wasn't Barty Crouch Jnr. meant to be unseen until the end of the film? What happened to Draco! Why did mad-eye look so comical? Since when were all of Beauxbatons veela? Why wasn't the concept of being a veela explained? Why were they all DANCING? Why wasn't the bath large and swinning-pool like? Why were the taps in a fountain? Why didn't we get to see any of the bubbles? Since when has Moaning Myrtle been so perverted? Why did they aff the Ron telling Hermione to tell Harry etc etc part? WHY DID DRACO GO DOWN GOYLES PANTS!?! Why did the dragon escape from the enclosure? How did the judges judge when they couldn't see Harry half of the time? Why weren't we told who was placed where throughout the tournament in the film? What happened to Rita Skeeter's articles? Why didn't they talk about her being an animagus? WHY DID SIRIUS LOOK LIKE HE WAS ON FIRE, he's meant to be GREEN like the flames go green! Why does Dumbledores accent keep changing? Why does Voldemort prance around like a fairy during the graveyard scene? Why does GOO come out of the wands during the prior incantatem? WHY! Why did the statue bind Harry? Why were there no house-elves, Weasley or Percy? WHAT HAPPENED TO MR CROUCH BEING UNDER THE IMPERIUS CURSE! Ah, I could go on and on. Basically I just hated it. There was little reference to the book and I was thoroughly disappointed.
