My above statement is what we teachers like to call a double negative. I am sure that all of us who graduated from High School (or even if you have your GED) will remember that all double negative are truly positive. Now matty I know you didnt understand my last paragraph so I will say it to you in a way that I know you will understand. *ahem* nanny nanny poo poo, I am rubber you are glue! Please try to understand matty I am not unsympathetic to your frustrations (that is another example of a double negative, what it means is that I do in fact have sympathy for you). I Teach in a Junior High School. I see your behavior daily in my classroom. I know that schools nationwide are cracking down on young bullies using the internet to abase other students. It is called cyber-harassment. I sure you got in big trouble when little Susie tattled on you recently, huh? Did you just get your internet privileges back? And I bet that you are trying to pick on grownups now so we cant tell the principal about your behavior. Am I right? Its OK in fact it is cute in a way. But mostly it is just sad. My advice to you; shut off the computer and do your homework like a good little boy before your mommy catches you. After all, Santa only visits good little boys and girls on Christmas Eve, remember? |

I am not here to argue with everyone on the site nor am I here to 'gang up' with adam (as I have picked on him in the past about his racist and homophobic comments that I find completely unnecessary) I just didnt feel as though I should let a child call me a loser with out showing how silly that is. It is like comparing apples and oranges, that was my point. I do in fact teach at a junior high school, I use sarcasm a lot with my students because laughter keeps them engaged and keeps me from going insane. They know when I am just kidding around with them; I now have an even greater respect for my students since they are smart enough to do that. |

I was about to rip on you for your misspelling of abuse but checked it up before i posted and found out it wasn't a typo. Just used a word which no American uses. You sure you arent European red? Still, a loser calling someone else a loser isn't a double negative. Loser isn't a negative, its a statement to say one person is below another. So a loser calling you a loser is a greater insult than a normal person calling someone a loser. Like if George W. called someone else stupid, that would be really low because in order to make a moron feel intellectually superior requires a complete lack of mental ability. (Granted, I got no probs with GW as far as a president, but aside from that he is pretty dang stupid) |
