Posted By: James Posted On: Oct 19, 2005 Views: 625 | Internet required console games That really grinds my gears. Why the **** would you want to play on-line console games? Thats what PC's are for. You buy the game to pay a fee to play it? WITHF would someone do that? I have to admit that the Final Fantasy series are my favorite (had been my favorite until X then hoping that they'd fixed the summon problem in X-2 to be disappointed) I was always ****ed that those games ended right after you beat the final boss with little reward. I wanted to go back and explore ****. So then I started playing open ended stuff. Like the Grand Theft Auto games. I have on my PC a mod (if I ever get around to it I'll put it out) of GTA Liberty city, Vice City, and San Andreas all on one map. (I just need to find a way to up the graphics in the first two). I'm a little distracted at the moment though. I was digging through my old games and come across one I haven't played yet. The MOrrowind Prophecies. I'm stuck. Oh, First person shooters are good to. Now where the **** was I?........... Oh. We play games because we don't have lives, much the same as why we come here. If we wanted interaction with other people through gaming we'd just go out more, or play table games like D&D. Which I did start a character last week. Mage/Cleric |

Some of us have pretty busy lives and video games are a way of escaping all our work and responsibility. GTA kind of sucks though because if you don't complete a mission you have to start over, steal another car, and drive another 20 miles just to start up again. You can only listen to that talk radio station so long before it gets old. Mostly I just like to use the cheat codes and go on a shooting spree up on a high spot where the cops can't get me. Screw this, it is time for some tequila. I don't care if it is before 7am. |

Posted By: Bakakage Posted On: Oct 19, 2005 Views: 605 | RE: Internet required console games Yeah, $30 a month is pretty high, but its decent for some people who play a lot of halo, Mech assault2, games like that where teams are really helpful. Since you can talk to the people verbally it has a notable boost over online gameplay where you have to type to communicate killing off some of your ability to attack or defend at a moments notice. Granted, that means its mainly for hardcore players, but anyone who has set up a 16 player hub for Halo2 at thier house knows how much fun it is with a bunch of people. |
