Posted By: Bakakage Posted On: Oct 23, 2005 Views: 1129 | RE: Dirty silverware Well, just realize how many mouths that spoon or fork has been in. Sure they clean it...but some things cant be cleaned without full chemical sanitizing. |
Posted By: mutt Posted On: Oct 23, 2005 Views: 1124 | RE: Dirty silverware yeah - i'm pretty sure the dishwasher doesn't give a shit about how clean the dishes are. I just wonder when I put that fork in my mouth how many people with oral herpes, hepatitis, TB, etc. have used it before |

Posted By: Syrgot Posted On: Oct 23, 2005 Views: 1114 | RE: Dirty silverware All I can say is don't work in a resturant. If you think the forks are bad, think about the glasses. They put them in a dishwasher UPSIDE DOWN, and the dishwasher sprays hot chemicals on it FROM THE TOP!!!! It makes the outside look damn clean but the inside is still gross. 3 of the 4 resturants I've worked at have used bleach to clean their plates at the end of the day. This is illegal, but its also standard practice. Have you ever wondered why when you get the rest of your food to go they take it in the back to do this transfer? They can ues their fingers, and if they drop it on the ground, they don't have to buy you a whole new dinner. |
Posted By: adam Posted On: Oct 24, 2005 Views: 1111 | RE: Dirty silverware when i was cleaning dishes at mcdonalds...i would only spray them with the high powered sprayer that was like 200 degrees....no soap, no sanitation.....and it was usually half-assed....grease all over...who cares? you're right, the dishwasher in any resturaunt doesnt give a damn |

Posted By: James Posted On: Oct 24, 2005 Views: 1102 | RE: Dirty silverware It spray's from under as well. Just think how many people handle your food from the time the product enters the processing plant, to the restaurant to the plate. How many people were talking over that food? Everything has a nice veneer of spit and skin flakes all over it. Not to mention if one person didn't wash their hands. Yummy |
Posted By: adam Posted On: Oct 24, 2005 Views: 1080 | RE: Dirty silverware some days i didnt wash my hands one time, a big block of cheese fell on the floor, and oone was looking so i put it back |
Posted By: gregg Posted On: Oct 24, 2005 Views: 1076 | RE: Dirty silverware I think most people know, but try not to think about the people preparing the food, who don't give a shit and wouldn't hesitate to brush off something they dropped on the floor and put it back on the plate. I remember when I had a summer job once serving icecream, mosquitoes kept flying into the ice cream. finally I got tired of scooping them out so I just mixed them into the icecream. |

Posted By: dsafdsasd Posted On: Oct 26, 2005 Views: 1033 | RE: Dirty silverware I think I'm going to barf... I think some of what you hear about restaruant cleanliness is exagerrated. Restraunts are inspected for cleanliness. Besides, the more germs you get exposed to, the more your immune system imroves (Unless you get HIV or hepatitis or something, then you're screwed.). Does anyone actually know someone who has gotten seriously ill from restaurant dishware? I haven't. |
