Kind of lucky how things just luckily mutated just the right way. |

I can't remember who said it, but someone said that the brain couldn't have been developed by evolution because it's too complex. The brain is actually a very faulty organism; it forgets important things and remembers unimportant things, it's easily affected by disease or drugs, if the chemicals its floating in are imbalanced in anyway it stops functioning normally, and it's incredibly hard to fix. |

Two cell types could have mutated and evolved in different environments, come together at some point and benefitted by working together, then evolved together from a well-functioning group into a single multi-celled organism. So far I see attempts being made to point out minor flaws in the theory of evolution, but none being made to point out the countless flaws and missing pieces in the theory intelligent design. Given a choice between the two I would say the theory of evolution is a lot tighter and simpler when looking at all the facts. Ever heard of Occam's Razor? The simplest of two or more competing theories is preferable and that an explanation for unknown phenomena should first be attempted in terms of what is already known. I know it's discomforting to think no one is watching over and protecting us but I'd rather face a harsh reality as it is than feel all warm and fuzzy with an obviously human-fabricated story. |
