I think the only reason why he likes EA sports is because of the prehistoric way EA Madden Football plays..IF you cant spell "the" your not worthy to even look at the game cover!! Im sure this guy sucks at the true Football game ESPN 2k5 because he cant even think past the 2nd down. Sorry to say loser, but it takes more than throwing a "hail mary pass" to win in ESPN 2K5.

While I don't own a copy of ESPN NFL 2K5 myself, I'm glad to see that there are people out there taking the initiative to make improvements to the last game. The unfortunate thing is that you'll probably be doing this for a lot longer than 5 years. Why is this? Well, not only did EA buy the NFL license for 5 years, but they also bought the ESPN license for 15 years. That's right, fifteen years! http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/01/17/news_6116473.html I can only hope that the NFL will realize the error of their ways and not let EA extend the exclusive license past the 5 years. Even then, the ESPN 2K series that we all know and love will never be again. Sega might come out with a new franchise at that time, but we'll just have to wait and see. So, I'm giving first and second teams priority. I am using an editor so I'll be changing player positions and experience to reflect current team rosters. I am waiting for the final cut before I finalize this thing, so probably wont be until right before the season starts. Ever since the Dreamcast days i have chosen a better, more realistic, and exciting product in the 2K series, of all sports. My library consists of all NBA, NFL, and NHL hockey games. I even have the old MLB 2K for Dreamcast and i recently invested in MLB 2K5. I'm ecstatic to find a site with people who feel the same way i do. EA SUCKS!!!!! Support the real king of sports games, 2K Sports!!

They cant make any decent software so they try to bury the competition. the 2K series was and still is better than Madden. To that effect the NFL Fever game for Xbox was better than Madden and that was a very new franchise. Give it up John, you are an old babbling idiot and you commentary leaves alot to be desired even during a live game. EA Sucks, "Challange Everything" my ASP They dont apparently like a challenge. Dont make our game better make it so they cant make a game. Nice philosophy EA. Then again they have a history of hitting Sega below the belt. Back in the Genesis days they did it often.

I predicted that a site such as this would emerge after the "exclusive NFL deal" story first broke. I prayed actually!!! It does my heart good to see that everyone doesn't blindly follow EA although it is blatantly apparent that Madden is an inferior product compared to the 2K series. I leave you with one question? Why on earth would you pay $50 this year for a product that isn't better than the product you bought last year for $20? I'm only keeping it real when I say that this years Madden 06 is significantly subpar to Espn 2k5! Graphics, commentary, attention to detail, Chris Berman, Dan and Steve, you name it. Espn is still waaaay better!

I feel that gameplay is the overall platform for any game. If a game plays like SHIP who gives a damn what it looks like. And as far as that goes MAD06 looks and plays like SHIP.no inavation what so ever.It looks like less than blitz and a little more than tecmo(with QB headlights)unnessary player profile popups that cover the whole field right in the middle of play.madden's commintary is a step above the origanal madden title (BOOM...HE'LL REMEMBER THAT NUMBER)fun for arcade runners for true gamers...PLEASE switch before it's too late...DOH!! it's already too late. madden zombies must eat the brains of yugioh fans who ate the brains of pokimon fans who ate ate the brains of dun & drags fans who ate the brains of kids who thought the He-Man cartoon was'nt gay....Hmmm wierd circle of life don't you think? I must say that it wasnt easy to find this site after many searches for rosters. Good Luck and I will donate something after I get my AR device! Madden could not stand the heat that 2K was bringing so they decided to buy up all the competition. If they can incorporate all that the 2K series had with the Madden stuffand lower the price to $30 or less I will take another look. They need to get rid of the Madden name as he has lost respect from me, a 36 year old Oakland Raider Nation, Black Hole standing member. Thanks for the trophy John but you have nothing left to contribute to football except to be a clown on Monday nights. SAD!

I don't so much *blame* EA; I understand the NFL is mostly culpabable. (And, besides this deal, I simply hate the way NFL markets it product(s) in general.) But, something has to be done, as consumers, to let the powers that be know that we're not going to let them get away with this and simply buy whatever crappy, 2nd-tier football game simply out there because it has rights to our favorite players. If we DID ascribe to the "buy whatever product is force fed to the masses" philosophy, what stops this from happening over and over and over? What would stop the greedy capitalists in our society from destroying ALL forms of competition? Absolutely Nothing. Thank you to all those responsible for registering this domain, creating the content, and providing a forum in which like-minded gamers can band together and let our voices be known. I'm fully on-board and willing to contribute and time and efforts to the cause. Site admins...please feel free to contact me @ long_jp@yahoo.com if you need any assistance. I have vast experience w/ Internet technologies and web design & development. Perhaps this might be of use?
