Their calendar was correct by the astronomy. Then God made it clear through a series of things that occurred that I was to break it off with them. It has taken me a long time to realize what SDA pastors and others have said before is correct. Sometimes we get down into the Scriptures & Ellen Whites' writings so deep in the forest that we forget for one that there's a forest we're in, and secondly, we seem to lose some basic reasoning capabilities. I want to bring up a statement by Ellen White that has been a great benefit to me. Even if she didnt say it, its still very good. Its found in various compilations but the one Im familiar with is Counsels to Parents, Teachers, and Students. This is the quote on page 84, para 3. Close reasoners and logical thinkers are few, for the reason that false influences have checked the development of the intellect. That is in the context of teaching children, and to get the full impact, one needs to read this all in context. But what has helped me is that I need to think through something logically. Im not sure what she means by close reasoners. Now, lets go back to the feast days. This is really quite simple. When we look at the feast days listed in Leviticus that God commanded the Israelites to observe, we see, for example, Pentecost. It was a one-day affair. Now, looking after the Cross, we see there was a one-day affair that was primarily for the propagation of the gospel to kick-off, if you please, the gospel dispensation, Jesus Christ was born, lived a perfect life, died, was resurrected, went back to heaven, and now He, Jesus Christ was the Lamb of God, as John the Baptist had said at His baptism, and now He had returned to heaven to fulfill His High Priestly duties as the REALITY of the human high priest prior to His crucifixion. Pentecost, after the Cross, did not go on every year, year after year, IN REALITY. It was only a one-day event, ONLY ONCE. The same goes for the other feast days. The yearly Passover, before the Cross, became a one-time event, and Christ was the Passover Lamb. There is the Day of Atonement before the Cross. It was a one-day event, year after year. On that day, near the end of the day, the high priest place the sins of all those who had not had all their sins forgiven on the scape goat, and this goat was taken out into the wilderness by the hand of a fit man, and left there. Today, this side of the Cross, that is a one-time only event, of which we are in the midst today. All those feast days that the Israelites did during the year, the same days year after year, now become specific events this side of the Cross. Just as the animal lamb became the human Lamb at the time of the evening sacrifice when Christ died, and that became a one-time event this side of the Cross, so the other feast days become specific events this side of the Cross. When you study the life of Jesus Christ in the basic elements of the Sanctuary, His birth, life, death, resurrection, ON THIS EARTH, His ministry in the Holy Place IN HEAVEN from His resurrection to 1844 for the forgiveness of sins, and His ministry in the Most Holy Place for the blotting out of the sins of all those who have had all their sins forgiven (forgiveness goes on even on the Day of Atonement until the blotting out takes place at the last part of the day [See Rev. 22:11 which is at that event], then you are available to realize that the feast days that God had the Israelites keep before the Cross, become specific events this side of the Cross. We dont sacrifice the animals today, because those animal sacrifices pointed towards Jesus Christ, our Passover, freeing us from the bondage of the Egypt of the worlds way (Satans ways-rebellion against God), so that we can be on our way to the Promised Land (not earthly, but Heavenly), by following Gods instructions to get to the Promised Land (Heaven first, and the New Earth, second). As long as we continue to stay with God, following His ways, which by the way, all work together perfectly when we follow them, regardless of the consequences we may pay because others may cause us trouble, we are safe in His care. Theres more here that I can share, but Ill leave it there for now. Having a clear understanding of the Sanctuary has made the difference in my thinking. I wasnt looking for a reason to quit them. In fact, even when I wasnt keeping them, I still believed in them. I was videoing Corky Evans teaching the sanctuary from his book The Sanctuary Cross and there was a person attending who kept talking about keeping the feast days. I just observed the conversations between this person and Corky. He was very kind, but very solid. It was a number of weeks that I observed these conversations from time to time. Then one day, as I had been listening to these conversations, it came to me clearly WHY the FEAST ARE NOT TO BE KEPT ANYMORE. I have been told that it was because of the sacrifices offered on those days that we don't keep the feast days today, but that just isn't true. Those sacrifices went on every day of the year, even on the Day of Atonement. It wasn't the sacrifices that made the day a feast day, but it was the specific event which God designated the day should stand for that made it peculiar to it's day. |

Buildings are just to help the workers get the work done, but in today's world, the church has adopted the customs of the world, to where the bigger and more the buildings, the more "God is blessing us". That is a very sad Laodicean condition. I'm here in SE Asia travelling around, and i see where there are dedicated workers, and just a little bit of money, a lot of evangelising is done, but in rich European countries for example (and America), there are lots of buildings, but not many people spreading the 3 Angels' Messages. |
